Almost wanted to smack Yi San when he asked her to be his concubine. What with the businesslike attitude?? LOL What happened to that big love confession he was preparing us for when he told her "I'll tell you the truth about my heart later"
but then......
"Deok Im ah, I want to become family with you"
Okay, I almost died at that. Thank you there we gooooo.... right in my heart. I still want you to be rejected tho xD
I don't wanna be negative, but am I the only one who thinks they kinda lost chemistry?? Especially in comparison…
I feel like they still have chemistry but the atmosphere is indeed very different. Even I feel a bit sad and like DeokIm, a lil suffocated, at the end of ep 12. I yearn for their loss of innocence, esp during the early eps when she was bright and cheeky. Their light banter was enjoyable until ep 7 (when DeokIm discovered that she was groomed to be a concubine)
I really wish they bring back their dynamic from the early ep once they're married ( ofc after they have a serious talking regarding her situation)
Agreed lol thats why I wish the show had 20 eps. I want to see one more rejection. At the same time, I also want…
Man I really hope we have at least one scene of serious conversation and not just jump to her being concubine internalizing her problems . Pls don’t disappoint me drama
I know we're already pretty far into the story and they still haven't gotten together yet but I want Deok Im to…
Agreed lol thats why I wish the show had 20 eps. I want to see one more rejection. At the same time, I also want her to express her feelings and worries to him and why she’s so hesitant about it. Poor girl just wants him all to herself and he needs to know that!!
I give props to the writer tho cause we’re pretty far in and barely anyone has complained about how the romance is draggy. We have a lot of people who feel for and understand Deok Im's situation and excited to see more rejections :P
I know that their peak romance has just started but why is my heart broken already.... Idk there's just this gloomy…
Sigh I know I miss their breezy days in the library and my bright and goofy DeokIm :(
My heart breaks seeing her lifeless eyes when he mentioned concubine (reminds me of that scene when she found out she was set up to be concubine by CL jo) but he redeemed himself when he said he wants to become her “family” and her eyes brightened up right away. I’m sure she was touched.
Writer please just give me one ep of pure bliss of their marriage life
Lol I have been waiting for 4 hours for sub since morning. Who else is dying with me? These comments are killing me further >:( With that said after ep 12 , I will be avoiding previews, twitter and this comment section prior to ep 13 since I want to be surprised next week (if i can wait)
I agree. Im okay with the Fairy Court introduction (it didnt need 15 min in ep 8 tho) and the assassination plot…
Yes I know its significance but I much preferred the detailed and well-planned plot from the last ep. This last resort by CL Jo left a poor taste in my mouth. I've seen this in sooooo many different drama
Actually i’m quite disappointed with eps 10. It feels like a filler episode. What’s the point adding extra…
I agree. Im okay with the Fairy Court introduction (it didnt need 15 min in ep 8 tho) and the assassination plot that was used as catalyst for our OTP development. The whole framing using a food dish is pretty lazy writing and repetitive in my opinion. I’ve been waiting for the day San finally does something for Deok Im. Poor girl needs a break 🥲 San better spoil the heck out of her when she becomes his concubine
Totally agree with you about how Seyoung portrayed Doek-Im going through her internal conflicts. Those few complaints…
Exactly! And I love that comparison to CL jo and the king. That scene happened after Deok-Im and San parting, wanting to put their love on hold until it’s the right time. On one hand, we want them to stop being noble idiots and forget about rules and responsibilities and just get together and be happy. On the other hand, we respect how honorable and principled they both are. My heart broke for Deok Im when she pleaded “Please don’t say it.” I can feel their longing but cannot do anything about it. If these two are anything like real life figures, I can understand why they waited so long to marry 😭 Pain never hurt so good 🥲🥲
but then......

Did you realize how her finger slightly rub his upper lips? This scene >>>>>> foreheard kiss
Jk, but forreal we all want to protect Deok Im
I really wish they bring back their dynamic from the early ep once they're married ( ofc after they have a serious talking regarding her situation)

Like "have your way with her"
"take her"
"get drunk"
Can someone clarify? Pretty sure it means the same thing
