I believe Li Rong has some attachments to Su Rongqing, but I don't feel the romantic kind of attachment. It feels like seeing old friends kind of longing. Although Li Rong constantly mentions about Su Rongqing in front of Pei Wenxuan, mostly it is about works. And when it comes to her wanting to set herself with Su Rongqing, somehow I feel it comes from the place of being petty because Pei Wenxuan did suggest it to her first, which I honestly believe did make her disappointed a little bit when he suggested that. I would be worried if she showed some speck of romantic affinity for Su Rongqing, just like when she first saw him again after they were reborn, but since she found the truth, I can see that Li Rong actually maintain a polite stance with him and keep her distance. On the other hand, her feelings for Pei Wenxuan is as clear as the sky with the way she behaves around him. Yes, she hasn't admit it yet and I wouldn't expect her to especially when Pei Wenxuan did make her disappointed in their first life together. Although she loves him, trust is a separate thing.

I love these two episodesI like how the two leads is principled but will not forsake each other. 🥰I also like…
I understand. Since she was only a child when her parents sealed her power, her cultivation shouldn't be THAT strong. But maybe since it's just gotten unsealed, the outburst might be because all those years the power inside of her remained dormant, finally awakened and in need of an outlet. But regardless, I love the fact that it is because of DFQC that her power is awakened. As cringey as it sounds, the power of love always makes my heart turn into a puddle.

While I understand her core should remain the same (otherwise she shouldn't be the Xilan Goddess but just a low fairy), I'm thinking about the possibility of her having a dual identity (and possibly a dual core) since she seems to have Immortal Fairy power and also Xilan Goddess power. But I could be mistaken.

Since she's a Goddess, her power should be the most powerful among her tribe (what's the name of her parents' tribe again?). I don't think her power rivals hellfire, but rather, at the time evil spirits were attacking her and DFQC, her power happened to be the most suitable power to counter those evil spirits, hence the outburst of power. Also, DFQC was injured and couldn't use his power, so the scale of power between her power and hellfire might have tipped in XLH's favour atm.

I think, the way the scene is played (where her parents help her from behind) is kind of to show that their presence is needed for her to unlock the seal that causes her Xilan Goddess power to stay dormant. Since they're the ones that sealed her power, they're also needed to unlock it for her to use it to its full potential. Of course, this is just a theory.

And also, we know that her immortal power (her Orchid spirit power) is weak due to the alcohol Siming spilled. But what if her real form (the Xilan Goddess form) has nothing to do with her Orchid spirit?

Because of Ling Buyi's Alternative Current-like-emotions, I couldn't decide how I should feel when he keeps hiding…
ASun is the perfect gentleman. Despite the love I have for this drama, ASun will always be my best male lead character Wu Lei ever acted.

We can all agree that Shaoshang is a pitiful girl.

I guess I can easily switch sides because I've always been a fan of Wu Lei. LOL.

I know Ling Buyi thought that's the best considering the situation and that's why I'm his apologist, LOL, but *sighs* a part of me wants to see them working together exacting revenge on Ling Yi, while another part of me can also understand why he won't tell her. That's because she'd jump into fire for him. If I were him, I would've felt scared too. But I also feel sorry for Shaoshang. Meeting and loving Ling Buyi hasn't been easy for her, and all she wants is a peaceful and simple life but sadly she won't get that because of him, and yet... *sighs* I'm conflicted.

Everyone in the capital watching LBY avenging his family, killing everyone mercilessly. No one could able to see…
Because of Ling Buyi's Alternative Current-like-emotions, I couldn't decide how I should feel when he keeps hiding the truth from Shaoshang. Ever since I found out what he is about to do, I have felt angry and disappointed in him because I feel bad for Shaoshang. It's not easy for her to trust someone, and when she does, that someone chooses to hide things from her when he always asks her to not hide things from him.

But at that moment when he was about to tell her (before he stopped himself) in today's episode, I couldn't stay disappointed anymore. He wanted to tell her, but from the trailer of the incoming episodes, I understand why he won't tell her. He doesn't want to implicate her—maybe because he knows Shaoshang will do whatever it takes to help him. And that might cost her life (and her family's lives).

*sighs* I feel sorry for Shaoshang, but I really really really (see how I used 3 really's?) feel bad at him that I can't stay mad at him for Shaoshang. Maybe I'm Ling Buyi's apologist. Huhuhu.

I honestly hope they don't fast-track the end. This cast and production team has worked hard to keep the momentum…
Does fast-track episode comes with eng sub?

Maybe Xianxia isn't your thing. That's okay, don't push yourself if you're not feeling it.

Yes. As someone who loves reading spoilers in this forum, obviously I (and the majority of us who read the novels and spoilers) are privy to what is about to happen, including what he chooses to do. And so, when we are watching this drama with that information in mind, we might already have a preconceived view. It is understandable that we might get biased due to that. Like I was. When I found out that he will choose to abandon Shaoshang, I was so disappointed and angry at him. But after that tower scene, it made me rethink if this drama Ling Buyi is the same as the novel Ling Buyi.

So, if we remove that information before watching and try to watch this drama with a new set of mind, we might see new and different perspectives.
On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Aug 12, 2022
I found Ling Buyi's conversation with Shaoshang at the tower about their future so poignant and eye-opening. His eyes at that time were beaming with hope and anticipation for a happy future with his beloved Shaoshang, so I believe he never intended to leave her (at least up to this point), or else what's the point of talking about something he knows he'll never get? So I believe something big and bad must've happened when he makes that decision (to abandon Shaoshang), and knowing Ling Buyi, it might be because he doesn't want to implicate Shaoshang more than he already did.

I agree with you. This is why this drama generates so much discussion on a deeper level. Also, it's so much better because we can disagree and still have civil conversations.

I'm surprised that I actually like the story. Body swapping is a a bit of pet peeve of mine, coupled with a cutesy girl walking around not aware of the danger—it's easy for me to feel annoyed. But I didn't. This time I feel like Xiao Lan Hua's cutesy is such a breath of fresh air. Usually, this type of cutesy is accompanied by reckless, childish, stupid, and airhead traits to make the female lead character shown as someone cute and young, and that she will eventually grow up to be wiser and smarter yadda yadda. That character setup makes for great character development but easily grates on my nerves. Luckily Xiao Lan Hua is far from having those traits. Despite her weak power, despite being young, despite being meek and gentle, she has shown intellect and wisdom beyond her years and will fight back when cornered. I am especially touched by her words when Dongfang Qingcang said her kindness almost cost her life during the Immortal Examination. She said he was wrong, and that only when they were working together were they able to get out alive. That's when I truly rooted for her (and can finally see that XLH is The One for DFQC). She's not as reckless as I thought she was.

I don't have SLS and I rarely get that, but I understand Changheng's appeal. If he's the male lead, I would've rooted for him to get the girl, but sadly, DFQC is smoking hot when he appears with his black—red with a tinge of burning ashes wings to save our fairy in distress. And to have someone burn the world for your safety, I'm conflicted since my mind is wishing for her to tell him to stop, but my heart is jumping with joy. And as for Changheng, I love that he is righteous and doesn't forget his duty despite his love for XLH, but yeah, DFQC's appeal is too strong, and those traits of his are the reason he lost her.

About SS feeling for LBY, I think it's probably because there only 56 episodes, and a lot views will feel disappointed…
Have you ever heard of a snake owner whose pet devoured them? (I'm not sure if it's fictional or real, but the story is how I see the people in the palace).

The python was kept as a pet by the owner. The snake wanted its owner to sleep with it every night for it to sleep. The owner allowed the snake to sleep with them because they loved it so much, and believed it was harmless and just wanted their attention. The owner had no idea that the snake was actually gauging them in preparation for its meal. Months had passed and yet the owner was still unaware. Eventually, once the snake had grown large enough, the owner was eaten by their own pet.

That is how I see Shaoshang's situation in light of the Crown Princess's deceit. She might let her guard down, think the Crown Princess is harmless, and end up being manipulated by her. I know Shaoshang has been through a lot of bullying, but those bullying acts are easy to comprehend. But deceits and manipulations are different. Just like the snake, manipulations are hidden and layered. It's not easy to read people who are hiding behind a mask, and even more so if she never put a guard up around them.

I guess, since we see from different perspectives, we'll agree to disagree =)
