My final hurdles in my #cdrama anxiety watch is 1) does the Emperor\Empress try to get ML to marry anyone besides FL, and 2) do they get married in the middle or end of the series? Anyone know?

I'm a little bit worried about fitting such a complicated donghua into 40 episodes. The trailer kinda looks like it will focus on the modern kids separated into Sects & growing their Cultivation...not YF surpassing his limitations so much

Actually he's going to be in an awesome live action if a donghua (Shrouding the Heavens). He's going to be Ye Fan in #LimitlessSkies!

This really bodes well for following up with sequels on deserving dramas!!

Yeeeeessss...that was before the 40 episode cap...many great cdramas are @70. You'll see a lot of dramas struggle with the forced 40 cap. Ming Lan begins when the ML/MF are children. You get to watch them grow up

I would probably not do that as your first drama. But some of the ones we recommended are a little longer and they’re worth it.

AH! I forgot to add The Story of Ming Lan - a slow slow burn but OMG the pay off is amazing

It's not really romantic but AMAZING: Nirvana in Fire. If you want romance, watch The Double! Also Blossom, Blossoms in Adversity. If you want love & Sisterhood - New Life Begins. Many LOVE Love Like the Galaxy - which is kinda like TPOB. I watch pretty much nothing but historicals - look at my watchlist - which is way too long lololol....
