In this drama, she sees him as evil. During the human arc, that shifts her thoughts of him. She learns to love him and wants to save him. But he isn't the stupid scary pitiful person in the mansion. He is actually a very smart prince which it is only right for him to take back his spot. In doing so, he would have to kill and killing makes FL doubt him. So each time he kills, whether it's for good or bad, she doubts him again, in fear he will turn evil. She finally gives up in the end to be with him but he knew that his doing will bring her power to save the world. So he also gives up for her. I don't think he loves her more nor she loves him more. They both are willing to sacrifice themselves for the person they love. It's just heat breaking not seeing the version of the book.

This is Xu Kai's best drama to me. He is very handsome in this drama and looking good together with Bai Lu. This is the only drama I like of Xu Kai. Finished Ancient Love Poetry but don't like his character as much as this drama.

He was only suffering at the beginning. He is actually a wise character with lots of intelligence. When FL died, he was suffering from losing her. Amd yes, we cried a lot with him. In the end, he agreed to suffer for good cause. So don't be afraid to watch the drama. It's still the best drama for me.
