It's a result of fandom purity police and it irritates the fire out of me. Nothing good comes from trying to censor fictional content, this show isn't for kids and it's rated R in it's country of origin for a reason. We should all be old enough to know the difference between good and bad and know to not listen to tv shows for moral guidance.

Sorry I went on a bit of a rant but this stuff just gets me fired up.

If you go by the dialog he was not fully against what was happening, it's just that the alcohol lowered his inhibitions and made him forget his fears about what would happen if he himself acted on his feelings. They both have feelings for each other, this isn't a one sided thing.

You are twisting it because with T/K Techno is incoherent when it's happening and doesn't know that anything happened at all the next morning. Whereas in this show XingSi is awake and knows what is happening and has a complete memory of it the next day. There are too many people trying to make this scene violent and horrific when it just isn't, not saying you are doing that but you're adding to that narrative.

At this point I think people are just jumping on the bandwagon of hate. Over the next few weeks some will come crawling back and watch until the end and claim that they liked it all along, wait and see.

This is such a well thought out and written analysis of their relationship, I hate the thought that so many of the people who hated the most recent episode (and the step brother dynamic) won't even take a chance to read it because they're so stuck in their hatred for things they don't try and understand.

It is a Japanese term that was originally used by misogynistic straight men to insult women who were into BL, it translates to "Rotten Woman" because they had the opinion that women who liked BL were not worthy of marriage and were therefore rotten. In Japanese BL fandoms it has been reclaimed and is not a negative term.

Western fandoms have tried to take it and make it mean something bad but they don't get to do that with a word that is not theirs.

Exactly, this is fictional and it makes for interesting stories. They're free to not watch if they don't enjoy it.

Loving this show so far, it's different from all of the other History series I've seen and I like it. The dynamics between the two couples are very different and that makes the show very compelling to me.

I'm so endlessly sorry that I have a life and don't check for replies on comments I make on every random site, someone sounds like they were anxiously waiting for a reply. In your 20s and yet not mature enough to understand what kinks are, proving my point that you're not mature enough to be watching 18+ rated content. Rape kink is one of the most common amongst adults, it can be part of BDSM play or just part of roleplay. It's also something a lot of folks enjoy on fiction, myself included and that's perfectly okay and normal.

Educate yourself before you make a damn fool out of yourself screeching about fictional characters doing things and people enjoying those fictional things.

I haven't read all the way through the novels for UWMA or LBC (trying my best to hold out for official translations but it's so hard) but from what I have read, the shows did them justice, with the exception of Win/Team, but that will be solved with the Hemp Rope series so I can't complain too much. I wish more shows would let the original author write the script or at least oversee the script-writing and have the last word on it.

All I can hope for now is for the translation of the book to be cleaned up so I can read it properly. I mean, don't get me wrong, I still bought it and will finish it out, but I'd love to read it in proper English lol.
