You made your comment on his page on a drama website with absolutely no promoting and for no reason whatsoever. That's you bringing him into it directly. Is the character in the novel half white? Then yeah he was cast partly because of that but he's also a good actor.
Unless you know for a fact, and I'm talking about the casting director saying it, that he was hired because of his mixed ethnicity, then you're just talking out of your ass to hear yourself speak.
I honestly don't understand the dislike this show is getting, it's super cute and light. Don't let the comments keep you from watching, they're exaggerating to an extreme degree. The show isn't any more cringy than your average Thai bl drama and the storyline isn't even unrealistic unlike a few dramas that are airing right now.
Because of racism, but you can't blame another actor for cultural problems in Thailand and the Thai entertainment industry. Take it up with Thai culture and not out on an actor who has done nothing wrong.
I'm not even finished with the first episode (just over halfway through) and I agree with the majority of what you've said. Idk if I would say it's the best pilot episode I've ever seen but that's just me personally and it certainly doesn't mean I think it's bad at all. I really don't get why so many folks are saying it's cringy or bad, the acting is good, the story is simple and clearly laid out and the actual cinematography is at the level you would expect from a small bl drama.
I'm honestly not understanding the hype for this series, I started watching yesterday and got all caught up today and I still don't understand what people adore about this show. To me, Fighter and Tutor have absolutely no chemistry and they seem stiff and like they'd rather be doing anything else when they have scenes. I enjoy Zon and Saifah a bit more as a couple but they seem unemotional and bleak as well.
I don't know if folks are just riding the Saint hype train and want to shower everything he's in with praise but really, when something isn't amazing you shouldn't say it's the best thing since sliced bread and then get upset when others don't like it. I say this as someone who had a friend get mad at them for not enjoying the series as much as them.
unfortunately the genre is incredibly popular, so it's not all that surprising.
In fiction I do not draw a line, as long as it is in a fictional setting I don't care what happens. These are themes that should be warned for, of course, and they are for adults only. We are responsible for our own actions and we know right from wrong, those in the minority who don't are still responsible for their own actions and are not forced to do things because a book/movie/video game had these things in it.

It does not normalize it, that is a false argument used by people who think the majority of us don't know right from wrong and reality from fiction. It's also the same argument that people used to say that violent video games cause gun violence, which we know, based on data, that this isn't true.
You can certainly not enjoy dark themes and should in fact stay away from content that depicts them. A lot of folks (myself included) enjoy dark things because it helps us recover from our own trauma, but there are also folks who just enjoy exploring darker things in fictional settings, which is perfectly fine and has been done for literally thousands of years.
There is no question in this story about what it is, it isn't portrayed as proper BDSM or consensual. The tag being there is because it includes those themes, which it does. This film (and the manga) are rated as strictly for adults and there is a reason for that, they aren't for kids who don't know what this kind of stuff is.
Basically my point is this, don't try to tell adults what they should or shouldn't enjoy, it's fiction and it hurts no one, these characters are not real and we adults who read what they go through know how to differentiate between fiction and reality.
What a mess =_=. History is over. One of the most promising BL series. I think the faults are from both sides,…
Faults are on both sides? I don't see how that is possible, someone taking another artists work and passing it off as their own has nothing to do with fans.
How about you don't tell people how to feel about a show that meant a lot to them, in particular young queer people,…
You seem to be a very angry individual, you should go see a doctor about that. You don't get to invalidate other queer folks' feelings, too bad, so sad. You say there was nothing bad in the show but in your original comment you said it plays into the horrible "kill your gays" and "I'm only gay for you" tropes, so which is it?
At the end of the day you are a mean little person who just wants to shit on people for being more wrapped up in a show than you are. A lot of queer folks see themselves in these characters and we relate to them, being able to see positive representations of queer love is affirming and when it's as sweet and loving as the one between Hao Ting and YXG it's easy to get attached.
You wouldn't march into a funeral yelling about how people should just get over the person that died, it would be rude and insensitive, just as it is when you post something like this.
Some of y'all are being overly dramatic- talking about how you can't eat, sleep, and your life is ruined. But…
How about you don't tell people how to feel about a show that meant a lot to them, in particular young queer people, invalidating our feelings is one thing you don't get to do.
