Does anyone know how long the delay is from airing date to disney plus? Shocker that I'm paying for a subscription…
In the U.S., it didn’t start on Disney+/Hulu until March 2 and both episodes air on Mondays, so it’s a 9-10 day gap, but maybe it will “catch up” due to the network interruption…?
I thought this was a really fun watch with a bit more depth than I anticipated, but not at all heavy! Great job with the progression of the story and the interplay between what’s “real” and not, and how that factored into the character development. I also enjoyed the different vibes in each world, and really loved the whole cast! Sweet and funny and well done.
I’m on ep 3 and wondering… FL and ML are basically just coworkers and alr working tgt for so long, how do…
It’s definitely a progression. I really liked how the AI relationships were whirlwind, fairly easy, and escapist, but the real world one unfolded slowly with stops and starts and layers of challenges. There are several realistic parts of the lead relationship and sweet moments. I thought it was a fun watch with a bit more depth than I anticipated, but not heavy.
If I had binged, I might remember some of the people from that montage about how their lives have changed (eg.…
I thought this, too! Especially with the one week delay in the middle, and flow wasn't a strength of this drama. I did enjoy it and LOVED the cast, but definitely think this is one that will actually be better binged.
Fun watch! I honestly LOVED the ludicrous and completely inconvenient superpowers, and the charming cast helped me look past some of the plot holes. The tone struck a nice balance between drama and humor, which made it feel like an easy watch after many heavier shows lately. Easily finished in a low-key day!
I think the slap in Ep 12 was there to really emphasise the evil character of JH's dad. It makes us make sense…
Yes, I think they let the dad out his tendency for physical abuse in a public way/the workplace to show his cruel interior, which will aid in his downfall.
I feel like some of ya'll didn't watch the first few episodes or just remember the sexy stuff. FL isn't a dasmel…
Under the rock, FL talked about how all of her life she ‘d found herself in predicaments or clumsy situations, and when her dad was living, he always seemed to show up for her. She’s definitely not expecting for someone to fill that role, though she acknowledges to ML that he has similarly appeared for her when most needed. She is a deeply caring person, and she sees that he is, too, and she can’t seem to believe that his actions are really motivated by anything other than human decency.
The collective viewer amnesia also seems to disregard the part where she agreed to be his date to the fancy event where he was trying to recruit her ex-boyfriend ONLY because she was getting paid a substantial amount of money. The first kiss that happened was entirely motivated by the situation for them to appear as a legit couple, and he was quite surprised later when he said the second kiss was “for personal reasons.” Although they went on the fun date the next day and things developed, the reality of having to leave because her mom collapsed and was in the hospital overshadowed any feelings she might have had. Her reality is so incredibly motivated by economic survival that I don’t even think she had the capacity to allow real ideas of romance, and she knows that they are from two completely different worlds. And now, even if she’s started to realize his feelings for her/hers for him and could get past all of that, she still believes he’s engaged.
I’m stunned that so many viewers see her FL one-dimensional, because the writer has done a great job of making me care about and emphasize with all of them and the complex layers of these relationships while still showing their humor and humanity. Romance is a luxury in certain situations.
Is anyone watching this drama on Hulu in the US? Episodes 3 and 4 say they’re still coming even though they’ve already aired, though I can access ep 5. I watched 1-3 the day they released but haven’t seen 4 due to the glitch, so thought I’d check to see if it’s just me or a system issue.
I absolutely adore this cast and the slice-of-life cases. I appreciate that the writer did not overwork the scenarios and relationships for dramatic effect, but gave them space to sit and unfold. The pacing is beautifully done as well. I am so not ready for this to end! I hope it comes with news of another season.
Am I a bit disappointed by the last 2 episodes? Yes, yes I am. But I still really like this drama. I still think…
I wrote almost everything you said to a friend earlier today! I jokingly asked if the last two episodes were written by AI, but I do wonder if it was a different writer, director, and/or editor? Definitely a different vibe.
More thoughts with spoilers... they spent way too much time in the last two episodes on things that didn't help…
YES! It was like a bunch of disjoined activities, some laughs, and then a happy ending. I was even underwhelmed by the anticlimactic conclusion of Yeomhwa's story, and even the fantastic chemistry between leads lost its steam for me by the end kiss. I might have been less disappointed if the rest of the drama hadn't been so good. I still liked it, but left feeling very meh.
