I watched all 7 episodes today and i was really impressed with the acting and chemistry of the leads. So far its seems like they are following the novel. Hopefully they can keep this momentum for up 40 episodes.

Yeah but from my understanding if they didnt sacrifice his sister it would have been another girl sacrificed to appease the demon. He hates innocent life being sacrificed thats why he protects the female lead.
Loving this so far. Hou minghao made me a fan this year with love in the clouds and now this one had me hooked from ep one. He really knows how to play the tragic hero. Seven is great in this too not sure all the complaints about her voice. I feel like drama fans complain about female leads voices too much. Its either too childish or too deep not sure what you lot want. Pleasantly surprised when zhao liying showed up nice to see a veteran do cameos.
The acting is great but the plot derails by episode 9 and the motive is so stupid and convoluted that im actually so dissapointed. A slight change in motive could have saved this drama. I also guessed the plot pretty early on. Not sure if it was intended by the writer or not.
Loving the drama so far. Its really funny the leads have chemistry. And so glad to see the actors using their own voice. Its such a pet peeve of mine but i hate when actors are dubbed cause ive watched so many cdramas i start recognising the dubbers voice.
They attempted to give the mother a pov which i appreciated but she is still too much. She has no social skills how can you go to her work and interrupt a meeting. Its too much. I have a nagging mother too but MCH mother makes me appreciate mine more. Maybe thats the point of her character.

He is not a bad person but he has no backbone he cant even stop his sister from talking crazy to his fiancee. The relationship would not work anyway cause cheng huan knows her worth and isnt desperate to marry him.
