Feng Suige could've easily become yet another villain in the story because of all the things he went through but he already had a great mother and along the way found loyal friends and eventually a caring wife so he choose to protect what he already have and not let revenge consume him, he even forgave the empress for the sake of his brother. But it wasn't the case for Xia JingShi, he even decided to kill the woman he loved and sacrifice his loyal friends and countless innocent people in the process .. Same story for both Princes with different outcomes. Their choices defined their futures.

Nothing breaks my heart than watching people sacrifice themselves to protect the people they care about. I love how this drama is handling the "separation part" by separating the couple by not separating them. Even when they are miles apart, they are still working with each other to protect each other without communicating with each other. This shows how deep goes their understanding of each other's personality and thinking.
