30 mins into the first episode, and I am loving it so far. I work for a company that's almost similar to this, and it's fun to see the big corporation dynamics. I sometimes see our actual directors and partners, managers, team leaders in the firm in the characters of this show and it's hilarious Lol Gonna give this a chance, for the story and for Lee JeHoon and KIM DAE MYUNG(obviously)
I didn't expect yoon minju to be such an expert at flirting. This is what happens when a person is sensitive enough to understand the other person's feelings. The way he gives her the space so as to not make her feel uncomfortable but still makes sure to break yongju's wall little by little
I started this with almost zero expectations... but I laughed really hard. There is nothing so special that has happened in the first episode... but I don't know why it was so funny.
The pacing was good Surprisingly, I didnt skip or fast forward any part. Hope the same continues.
Yeah, even I think so. This is the kind of series which deserves a season 2. And I also think the writers will definitely not stop with just one season
I've just finished episode 1, and I'm not feeling it. Does it get any good? I don't mind spoilers. Right now I'm…
And as for how Tian character develops... He might stay cold but he cares a lot through actions in ep 2.... but he starts to warm up to sheng wang slowly and always stays protective. When he learns that sheng wang is always left out due to multiple transfers... he makes sure sheng wang has friends He goes out of his way to help sheng wang, understands sheng wang even when he doesn't utter a word.

Below is the explaination. All in all, I would suggest you to give one more episode a shot.
What I like the most is the very subtle gestures the main characters show the to each other that screams .... pure love
The storywriting uses method called lyrical writing.... where they use simple things/gestures/words to describe the most intense and emotional feelings of the characters

Tian's character changes immediately in second episode. He always stays cold/gloomy because he thinks that the more he interacts with people and makes connections, the more he will be hurt when they eventually leave. Tian had to keep moving houses since he was a child because his mom and dad abandoned him. He always has that one suitcase packed.. always ready to leave at a slight feeling that he will be left alone( basically he leaves before people leave him kinda)
So when his mom moves into a new house, he was expected to move in too. Earlier he was living at the teacher quarters behind the school, sometimes at a grandpa house. But now he has to move in and settle down yet again in a new place... And for the 11pm one... I think its because he was always on his own.
As for childhood of the main characters.... they will show them bit by bit in next episodes The parents are good and caring people too (atleast in this first season)
Watching the Korean version made me realize why I dropped the Chinese version before. The 2 leads always left…
I don't think the second brother is ignored in the og version. Yes, he was ignored in the childhood scenes, but that was for a very short time. ML and FL in og version always wait for the 3rd brother. They never left him out. Ever
But in the korean version, that is very noticable, even after they grew up to be teens, I still dont see the sibling bond and affection between then. This is so much that I can help but feel disappointed because I am more favoured towards the 3rd brother. ( I like both actors in og and korean version very much)
i really hate that they made haejun asking juwon to apologise bc he ziqiu would never do that, i know it is a…
That one scene made me rethink my decision to watch this. I am still contemplating on watching the new episodes. Because ziqui is my fav character ever, and I can never imagine him asking his sister to apologize even if the world's breaking apart.
Came here to see the spoliers about the progress in the storyline
This is one of the best series I've watched. I could totally understand and relate the angst 17 year olds go through. Made me remember a lot of memories that I've buried deep inside and forgot with passage of time. I love the way it ended. And I am anticipating for the season 2 very eagerly. And I have great belief in the production team on this.
I also love the fact that the story line stayed true to the novel and included as many details as possible. And the actors really did justice to the characters.
This is my first comment on this series here. I have seen people say jiang tian is repulsed with homosexuals due to his trauma and the kiss part in episode 2 made a lot of novel fans angry.
But nowhere did I feel that way when I was reading through the novel. Infact jiang tian slowly understood that he cannot look at others the way he hate his father.
The only thing I know is that two people with scars found a new home in each other and that was very beautifully depicted in this series. They made my heart wrench with sadness at times. Not only that, I also love the fact about how they have shown the lives of students preparing for university entrance exams. Totally reminded me of the 16 and 17 year old me. How I slept so little, trying to come up with new tactics to improve myself. I could totally relate to everything in the series.
I don’t know what’s going on, but I am so invested in this show. Even during the scenes that aren’t sad,…
Yes, you could feel the pain the characters were going through. Everyone had their reasons, and all reasons were valid. So I cant help but watch the show with a big lump in my throat.
This show is just so well done!!!!! I could understand every character. This just came up as my #1 in korean bls of all time. The way my heart aches so much for all of them, oh god.. If anyone is still wondering whether to watch this or not. Just start it right away.
I am suddenly so sad that this is going to end next week...
In episode 10, Can someone explain what Qian meant by "Can this decision be made easily, I'm afraid" and what San pang wanted to tell after Qian says they pointed a gun at yuan's head "So, Right now, So you've lost...." What did he want to say over there? What did Qian lose? Can someone complete this sentence for me please? I understood a part of it but I am not sure if my understanding is correct. What was Qian afraid of losing and why Yuan was upset after that conversation between Qian and sanpang?
say it louder!!!I just get bored with people who keep insinuating that they're brothers(Step brothers or adoptive)…
Ikr!! It's annoying, and it's half because of that stupid title on every youku youtube episode. I just realised there a lot of people who are waiting for yt upload of the episode. So majority of audience just looks at yt uploads and yt shorts, and titles of those videos are irking me
Qian is so annoying to me sorry lol... the story is getting dragged too much... I hate BL shows that wait till…
I can understand a part of where you are coming from. For me, I think it's very important to show how Qian's acceptance is taking time, and it's supposed to be like that. I think no person, who went through such tough ordeal since their childhood, who has constantly been seeing how cruel the society can be, who has always had this dreadful fear of future, can jump right into accepting his feelings, this without going through a big inner turmoil. Otherwise it would look very forced. Also remember when he was having the conversation with fengning in ep6, he says "Two is not always good than being one/alone". He never thought of loving someone, so when his brother whom he raised, confesses, he runs away since he didn't know how to handle it(this is the common reaction any normal person would have) , and then slowly realizes that Yuan is now the only person he can trust and that he is his lifeline. - ALL THIS TAKES TIME. And it's been just one episode since he came back from abroad, we can't expect him suddenly initiate something. It's going to be awkward. Even when friends/family who has been away for several years meet, there is going to be a bit of awkwardness since they are seeing each other after such a long time. So I think the pacing is quite natural and real life like. Well it's just my opinion since I can see myself in qian most of the times. But I also understand you, since I sometimes felt that way for other series.
I also thought that was reckless of Yuan and I thought he had a plan when he said "this had to end." But I agree…
Makes so much sense. While watching that scene, I justified yuan's decision to go there alone despite not knowing much about how to fight, as he would rather face the worst than see Qian go through what he escaped from years ago again. After watching Qian fight underground that day, Yuan must have been so terrified, that he was ready to jump into danger and get rid of them before they could get hold of Qian. I also think that even if yuan is not a good fighter, considering how smart he is, he would have definitely went there with a plan, or at least come up with a plan and solve everything for sure if things went waywards
in the last scene of ep9, what did Qian mean by "if my running away has ended up with that letter, would I regret…
From my understanding, what he meant was, "After pushing away yuan(basically qian was running away from yuan by sending him away) and sending him off abroad, If something happened to yuan during that avalanche, and he receives that letter as final goodbye, would he be able to survive the regret?"
I work for a company that's almost similar to this, and it's fun to see the big corporation dynamics.

Now, looking forward to each sunday.
