A sweet and simple love story ...done right
Disclaimer: First of all, the title does absolutely no justice to the drama. The show has nothing to do with money~and certainly none of it is “coming to” anyone.
I personally loved this drama for its simplicity. It has romance, comedy, bits of conspiracy, and a little action, but everything is presented in such an organic, honest way—no unnecessary twists, no plastic theatrics. The plot moves realistically, without those impractical tropes like hiding the truth “for protection” or keeping some grand sacrificial plan a secret. Everything unfolds pragmatically, just the way it should.
Zhi Yue, as the FL, felt painfully mediocre in the first few episodes, but she soon picked up and delivered a much stronger performance. Ze Hui was solid throughout, and his chemistry with Zhi Yue is genuinely lovely. There’s this one scene where he stops her from crying by kissing her… 💕💕 absolutely adorable.
Even though the story is predictable and full of clichés, you should still watch it for the couple... they’re truly charming together.
