I like to write reviews to help me get over shows (and also because I have many opinions).  It puts things in perspective (namely that it's just a show) and is a good way to say goodbye.

I don't believe in grade inflation, here is my rating chart:

3 – Show is pretty bad, I probably didn’t finish but showed up to rate it anyways because I disliked it so much

5 – Show I wasn’t that into

7 – Worth a watch, I was entertained, but I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece

9 – Top 10% favorite

I like: strong female leads; a bit of compassion; characters with some depth; logic; good humor; thoughtful and/or philosophical tone; emotional engagement

I dislike: sappy romance; good characters turning bad trope; situations in which the show and I seem to have different opinions about a character; too much stress; too much nonsense

Also, every show has hot guys (and girls) so they don't get rated up for that, no matter how good looking the actors are ;-)
