From gentlemen' agreement to being married for real

I have very mixed opinion about this drama. first of all it's good for time pass but if you're expecting it to deliver something extraordinary then you might feel a little disappointed.

For a short drama the story was fine .. it had ups and downs with proper execution of a well set plot ..but it lacked a great time in character development and associated feeling. The way leads fell for each other seems rushed.

The FL ..I have seen this actress in "save it for honeymoon" and lemme tell yaa she was pathetic...but this time she improved a lot ... I think she looks better in period - costume drama than modern ones .
entire cast is composed of actors who were pretty average in both looks and talent, including ML.

Overall there wasn't much to take away from this story. ML's intelligence and his loyalty towards FL was the highlight.

Nauseating

I didn't realise I was watching a movie I tried watching 3-4 years ago ..well I dropped it then and I dropped it now again .. first of all the plot itself is weird and nonsensical like I grew up watching anime and reading manga and trust me there is no way anyone would be made fun of, for having firm and voluptuous bosoms ..entire shonen industry is running on the appreciation of women assets but they showed a girl is bullied in school for that ..gimme a break ... Second the stretch mark issue .. dude 99 percent women (even men) in this world develop stretch mark during various stages of life. Why are you treating this like an epidemic ...

This movie made me conscious about the things I never even cared for ..like stretch marks ..who the hell cares about something even Kardashians and jenners are experiencing???

The story itself is so boring and bogus that other things like cast acting music XYZ didn't even grab my attention.

Strongly not recommended

Beyond hope...

honestly in the beginning when i was around ep 20 i wanted to title my review are 'TALE OF FRIENDSHIP AND YOUTH' ...
then i wanted to change it to "A NARUTO TO EVERY HOPELESS AND LOST SASUKE" .. but in the end i chose the one i have written 👆☝️ .. why ? even though the hypocrisy shown in this story was ironically real but why they wasted viewers time with heavy moral poetic dialogue commentary ...
anyways lets dive deep into the whole thing:

things about the drama that were good :

1) Immensely talented cast : a long list of names and almost all good looking faces .. for a fact that they introduced on an average 3-4 new characters in every new episode made it difficult to keep a track of their names. but as far as the core cast is consider .. every actor is talented and good pick for their role, all of the delivered a REFINED performance.

2) breath taking VFX and cinematography : i was actually following this shows BTS on Hou MingHau's and other actors weibo account at the time of its shooting , there were videos of them performing action sequences using wires/ropes in front of the green screens .. now while watching the finished result .. i was shocked to see how realistic everything looked .. from dragon avatars to peach blossom petal dance ... everything was so clean and life like. funtastic editing .. camera placements and movements.

3) stunning outfits and impeccable styling : though the attire themed ancient but the detailing with embroidery and accessory gave them timeless look.

4) captivating background music : the OSt was the best .. there was a beautiful soft romantic song by Hou MH himself .overall the music of this drama was impressive.

5) friendship was the main theme while romance added depth to it.

6) chemistry between the leads was unique then the regular ones .. it wasnt passionate or born out of chaos , but peaceful and calmly understanding between the partners.

now lets talk about main character:

1) Baili dongjun: carefree (not careless) boy from family of duke/nobles wanted to become liquor expert (deity) but in his path of doing so he gets tangled in some affairs and end up becoming martial artist instead. this type of characters are liked by us all ... he is kind .. funny ..down to earth .. loyal friend .. loyal lover ... there for you whenever you need him kind of person. his character matures as the series flows to the climax he becomes more serious and responsible person keeping his principles, kindness and morals intact. Hou minghao did great justice to this role and why not ? his actually aura dissipates all these qualities.❤️❤️❤️❤️

2) yue yao: at first i found this character extremely boring but as she joins the academy entrance test she changes into a fun character ... and as her relationship with the ML depends we see her becoming more charming ..graceful .. and what can i say i slowly fall in love with her .. ~ in the last episode when she said she will support BDJ's decision of following yun Ye irrespective of the consequences ..oh my god !! chef's kiss .. thats how FL should be fearless and daring to take a stand with ML. the actress playing the role is cute .. her acting was also good❤️

3) Yun ye: the most unfortunate hero (another sasuke) .. THOUGH SASUKE NEVER GAVE TWO FUCKS ABOUT SAKURA ..but anyways ... this character teaches us the following lesson :
A) dont skip your exam for a woman specially when she is a prince's keep.
B) dont invite the prince consort inside your hut even if she comes to your door ..and definitely dont create babies with her.
C) dont start a war with the country when your own woman doesnt listen and leaves to her ex husband place behind your back.
D) definitely dont start a war for heartless woman who will go back to her another option after your death.

4) prince roufeng : this man was moving pile of horseshit ..viewers might have mixed opinion about this character but as for me i hated him to core ... there is this one thing to summarize " evil done for good cause is good ..but good done for evil cause is bigger EVIL" he was the main villain in my opinion cause he claimed to save the people's good while he cant even save a mere woman from his rapist brother ... the so called war that he thought he can ignore still fought a lot of blood was shed ..why because this human trash thought he is living buddha and whatever the hell he suggests is best for the humankind .. my ass .. the actor playing it did great job he delivered the hypocrisy realistically.

5) master li : all i feel for this character was 'respect' .. i actually thought i am one of his disciples❤️ ..both actor for the role were amazing

6) prince/king roujin : third class pathetic .. weak villain with cheap character ...and miraculously he was saved and the poor hero was killed ..

i dont like such third class stories which start like some Buddha manuscripts and end into somethings something more disgusting than a bangladeshi porn ... with all those musical poetic cringe worthy dialogue on righteousness and whatnot we get this crap- climax ... HUH! THANK YOU! NEXT ...

REWATCHING VALUE IS MINUS 10 (there were no star for that)

Good story but failed to deliver its max potential

The overall feel of this story is really good. It has a strong start ..cast is also good .. there were interesting mini plots to keep the momentum of the plot ( bondage prank, riding to his interview scene , etc ) but still for various reasons even 1 hour 39 min felt too long ...
1) mini plots weren't arranged properly. For example you watch a scene, you think okay there is a development in their relationship but in the next scene she is literally beaten by his fans and he doesn't care. Then again after few minutes similar thing happens .. I was so confused like is this how feeling work ???

2) though it's not related to story ..but the subtitles suck ... This was actually the main reason why I could not enjoy it to the fullest.

3) fatigue : so many cliches and repeat jokes ... In the end no matter how good the sketch is ..if the painting it not colour enough you won't like it.

That's all. No hate to the movie but it just didn't work for me ..may be If i watch it again after sometime.. I might like it ..

Watch it before you watch the black devil & the white prince

The sequence tells the story about how these three met and reached to the equation they are sharing in the movie the black devil and the white prince.. plot is comic romantic and sassy at the same time ..actors did a great job is catching the essense of their roles .. I think the role of akabane yuu could have been better why is she lying on the ground in every second scene .. but anyway her chemistry with kurosaki is bomb.

Loved it

Just feel good and Nothing complicated of sorts

Okay first of all this story was one of those amazing stories that will leave no residue in your mind ..I mean you just watch it .. feel peace in your mind and that's all , you go back to your normal self ..not like those frustrating plots that keep going in loops in your brain for hours after watching it.
The plot has incredible momentum as a lot of things happening (plus past incident/forgotten relationship is also revisited) but nothing seems overwhelming of the sorts as entire thing was in perfect harmony.
The leads actors were amazing they really did great with playing the exchange soul thing. Though there wasn't much romance but the thrilling comedy filled the gaps . Ending sound track was lovely .. overall a good pick for your weekend evening.

The most selfish bitch gets the most loyal guy

The most obnoxious FL I've ever seen. I have nothing against the old "sparks rekindle" phenomenon, but I hate boys/girls who abuse their partner’s kindness just to check if he/she is still into them. A little spoiler here, just so I can curse her to hell. Thank you!

The ML was a stupid one-woman man. I’m calling him stupid because he chose the worst woman to be one with. This girl dated him briefly during their school days but left him because of her own domestic issues. They meet again in college, but she’s with another guy who doesn’t seem too serious about her (I must say, the rugby captain treated her the best she deserved). Alright, she prioritizes her new, popular boyfriend, and the ML receives a flat rejection.

Years later, they meet again. This time, she’s single, and the ML has a sweet girlfriend. This b*tch messes with his head again, which results in his breakup and a serious injury that impacts his career badly. Anyhow, they start dating, and the ML faces a lot of job rejections—he’s going through a rough patch. At this point, a normal partner would support his mood swings. Why? Because that’s what partners are for—especially if someone has acted like a human shield for you. There’s no way I’d leave a man like that alone in his hardships. But this piece-of-crap FL tells him she's been offered a job in Belgium. And if that wasn’t enough, she picks the first misunderstanding to dump him and grab the job offer. Selfish pro max. She could have asked him to wait, but no.

I mean, okay, he let his frustration get the best of him and said some nonsense, but there was absolutely no need for her to react in such a bizarre way. She even compared him to her shthole dad. Sorry, btch! You’re the one who's like your dad—the same shitty DNA. Years later, she’s back with her wedding invite (RIP to the poor guy she’s marrying—she might just leave him for the next job offer in LA, who knows).

Anyways I am glad the poor ML didn't end up with this horrible woman .. thank you !! script writer.

PS: My frustration is just for the character; no hate to Park Bo Young (I love her to the moon and back).

Kim Young Kwang was amazing—his smile kept spreading warmth throughout the movie; otherwise, I wouldn’t have watched this crap at all.

The chemistry was pathetic, but that’s because it was written that way. It’s not the actors’ fault; it was just how the plot demanded it.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this movie. There’s already enough chaos in people’s relationships; why watch something that further weakens your faith in true love?

Drop it. Don’t watch it.

Minimum dialogue maximum feeling

Song joong ki and park bo young two extremely amazing artists ..but we have to keep in mind this movie released in 2012 when they were not the prominent names in the korean industry. I am not very impressed with the over all story telling but the performance delivered by the artists was so refined that for a moment I forgot about its lame plot. Werewolf turning human and vice-versa, nothing ne about it right?? But song joong ki's character of werewolf had no dialogues either .. now imagine a psychological love story with ML as werewolf with no dialogues, yeah you got my point. He has to deliver human emotions through wolf body language while making no sound ( no dialogue). His expression his movements were so impactful. the movie has no kissing scenes still it was so damn romantic. There were few twists which added more depth and substance to the story ..like the researcher explaining the werewolf/wolfs have single mating partner for the lifetime emphasising at what extend he is attached to FL ..secondly his turning to a beast to protect the FL ... Lastly the scene when FL returns after 40-45 years and finds him waiting for her in the same room just because she asked him to wait .. honestly I cried like a river worth of tears while watching that scene. YOU KNOW IT'S EASY TO HANDLE BETRAYALS WITH SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS RAGE AND ANGER BUT WHEN WE RECIEVE OVERWHELMING LOVE AND LOYALTY WE OFTEN LEFT WITH A QUESTION " WHAT DID I EVER DO SO GOOD TO DESERVE SOMEONE LIKE HIM/HER"?
Park bo young's character is timid to 'i can speak ever now and then. Both have a very good chemistry.

The cinematography has horrible .. I don't know if they hired a light man in the crew .. everything looked so dull. Background music was just so so ..

Take my advice watch it for the actors and their performance.

Utterly charming even with all the overacting and pathetic print

This was a 2004 release, and watching this movie felt like taking a glimpse into South Korean society in the past—when it was less about plastic surgeries and designer brands, and more about their reserved culture. The makeup was abysmal, with all that chalky, single-tone foundation and dusty bubblegum-pink blushes. I’m certain there were no such things as acting classes back then, judging by their overacting. Yet, still... still, there's something about the love stories from that era that makes our hearts skip a beat every now and then. The leads don’t kiss readily, they don’t smooch, but viewers will get goosebumps just at the sight of them holding hands—if you know what I mean.

Moving on, the plot wasn’t something you haven’t already seen; it’s quite overused by today’s standards. The story was cute, revolving around a high school girl and a handsome college guy. The love story began with fights, frustration, irritation, and those classic "wait till I kill you" vibes, which soon blossomed into a sweet friendship and eventually into love.

Background music was BOMB

The plot was silly, the acting was atrocious, but for some reason, I enjoyed it immensely. I found myself laughing at their absurd chases and feeling butterflies whenever they came close. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

I cried even when I already knew he would die ...

I already received a spoiler-packed review of this movie from my brother before watching it, so I knew Byeon Woo-seok’s character would die in the end. Still, somehow, I couldn't control my tears when the truth about his death unfolded in the film. Honestly, I don't know what was better—knowing about his death and getting a clear conclusion after 15 years, or just believing he was alive somewhere, living a selfish life after abandoning her. If I were in her place, I would have chosen the latter. I don’t need closure; I would have preferred to live in a bubble, thinking he was selfish, that he was a jerk... but at least he was still breathing. That would be enough for me.

After all, school romances rarely turn into something serious. So, this ending wasn’t my favorite. But we know that not all stories end in a “happily ever after,” right?

The cast was amazing—Woo-seok looked so charming, as always. The female lead (from My Demon) was beautiful; her character was cheerful and funny, totally endearing.

I felt the background music was a bit different from the usual—really not my taste. But since the cinematography and soundtrack were crafted to reflect the 1999 era, I suppose we can overlook that.

Overall, it’s a good movie for a one-time watch; you can definitely give it a try.

A nice rom-com with strong msg that every girl needs to watch

This show tackles various complex themes through divorce cases, spotlighting issues that impact women, such as self-respect, career struggles, single motherhood, alimony, and child support. The plot delves into how women are often treated as "options" throughout different life stages: wives and daughters are abandoned for younger mistresses, granddaughters are overshadowed by potential grandsons, and girlfriends are deceived financially for selfish gains. The narrative doesn’t shy away from hard-hitting issues—like a woman being unfairly shamed after a pregnancy resulting from assault, or a talented, successful woman being harassed by her insecure husband, who can’t handle her achievements.

Story Overview:

The show is a feel-good office rom-com centered around a law firm founded by two best friends. Our main male lead (ML) struggles with insomnia, while the parallel male lead (PML) is rekindling his old flame after her recent divorce. The plot flows at a comfortable pace—not too fast, not too slow—and mixes in plenty of comedy with well-matched chemistry between the leads.

Along the way, the insomniac ML finds that his cure just might be the company of the female lead (FL). Meanwhile, the FL’s elder sister happens to be the high school crush of our PML.

Casyt is amazing..there are so many actors and all of them were extremely good.
the Actor playing ML is good looking but his acting is what caught my attention, I have seen very less actors who can hold one expression for so long ..wow .. moreover his contrast between tyrant boss and timid bf was amazing. I genuinely loved his performance.

The actress playing FL is so cute ..her pleasant, cheerful and not very sexy appearance is very apt for this role .. her acting was good as well. other female characters parallel female lead, the vamp and office bestie were also good.. especially the office bestie, she is gorgeous. The ML's mom was love.

The ending was not up my taste .. I didn't like the idea that ML was waiting for like atleast 7 years just to get married ( judging by the kid age) .. I believe in women empowerment but not like this .. he supports him so much getting married wouldnt have hurt her career as for matter there is no such prejudice in law field

Overall a good drama worth watching

Didn't want this night to come to an end ...

About the story
The drama was good ..like real good. . the plot was interesting.. good paced less cliche .. dialogues/ script were to the point .. there is balanced amount of suspence , mystery , chase ,action and romance .

About the cast
The ML (Jesse ren) was amazing I have seen him in support role in a few dramas but this was my first time watching him as lead ... And he did commendable job ... He is in such a great shape .. his act was also good and his kissing scenes were bomb
. 💣💣💣 ..HE IS THE ONLY ACTOR I HAVE SEEN WHO USES HIS TONGUE WHILE KISSING ONSCREEN Like moving it all the way inside the co actress mouth 😆😆😆 (or tell me they were dating for real)
FL is such a cutie .. I must say she is one of the most gorgeous girls I have seen in Cdramas far far better than a lot cdrama actresses who look excessively plastic and can't act at all. Her acting was also good the only thing that I felt odd about her acting was she didn't keep a good difference between the double roles she played (both sister's characters were extremely over lapping)

About the music
It was fine for a drama ost nothing appealing as such

Re-watch value
I read the comments section of this drama on YouTube and there were already a lot of viewers who were watching it for third and fourth time ... I myself will definitely come back to this one ..❤️❤️

Overall this drama was totally worth my time .

Check-In for the brilliant Cast, Check-Out for the Plot

Let’s be real—the show rolls out the same tired plot we’ve seen a million times: the classic heir versus the illegitimate child in an epic struggle for inheritance. Honestly, I could hear the collective groan of K-drama fans everywhere as we trudge through this overused storyline. The opening had me intrigued, but somewhere between the predictable plot twists and lackluster drama,I found myself wishing for a quick escape halfway through

Speaking of the cast, they do have their charm. I’m a fan of Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae, Lee Deok Hwa, and Kim Hae Sook. Lee Da Hae nailed the mischievous young heiress vibe, adding just the right amount of sass to her character. But let’s be honest—Lee Dong Wook stole the show. I mean, the man looked so dapper in his suits that you’d almost consider getting pregnant just from a glance! (I know you’re imagining it too!)

In the end, I have mixed feelings about this drama. If you have a high threshold for boring plots and clichĂŠs, go ahead and check in. Otherwise, you might find yourself longing for a better stay elsewhere!

Timeless charm ❤️❤️

I initially avoided You're Beautiful due to its unappealing wallpaper, lackluster print, and an ordinary synopsis. But to my surprise, I had completely underestimated it. While the first episode was a bit of a slog, after skipping through some cringe-worthy parts, I reached a point where the story truly became engaging.

Though it may not be the best drama by today's standards, back in 2009, it must have been a blockbuster. Watching it made me nostalgic for the days when concealer doubled as nude lipstick, and bold pink blush was considered high-end fashion.

The plot is cute, old-school romantic, sweet, and family-oriented with a delightful comedic touch. And most importantly, there are no overly dramatic kisses—sometimes going back to basics can feel so refreshing! The chemistry between Park Shin Hye and Jang Geun Suk is absolutely heartwarming, and I found myself falling in love with this couple. It reminded me of Boys Over Flowers with the girl being adored by three boys, but in some ways, this one was even better (no sudden trips abroad to separate the leads!).

What’s fascinating is seeing so many familiar faces from modern K-dramas, like Park Shin Hye, Kim In Kwon, and Sung Byung Sook. The drama also showcased Korea’s impressive technology, which was already advanced back in 2009, and it's clear that even before the global Hallyu wave, Korean dramas were making their mark.

All in all, You're Beautiful may have flown under the radar for some, but it's a drama that still holds its charm and is better than many overrated modern shows. It’s sweet, nostalgic, and surprisingly refreshing!

If you wanna experience the feeling like sitting in the sun on a cold afternoon, this one will make you feel that way ... Please give it a try and you will not regret ...
XOXO

A light Love story wrapped around 'House possession'

A cute, sweet, and romantic drama with a generous dose of comedy. The story has its heartwarming moments, but there are also instances that feel a bit illogical and even irritating. One particular frustration is watching the male lead chase after his selfish crush, despite her repeatedly treating him as an option. It felt forced at times, but overall, the narrative comes together nicely by the end.

The show’s highlight is undoubtedly the outstanding chemistry between the leads, Mike Angelo and Aom Sushar. Their dynamic pairing carries the entire drama, and they genuinely look great together on screen, making their characters’ relationship feel natural and believable. Even though the ending wasn’t as sparkly or satisfying as I had anticipated, the drama still makes for a good one-time watch, especially for fans of lighthearted romantic comedies.
