Good story bad cast

This was one of the very first kdramas I ever watched I still remember it took me days to get it's bGM "goodbye my princess" out of mind. I found it very interesting at that time but now that I have seen around 100 kdramas I can say this one was mediocre. Reason:
1. the FL was just so so ... I was impressed by the wardrobe back then but now I have a proper understanding of good and bad acting as per korean industry and hers was bad ...very bad. ML wasn't very good either.
2. Slow pace .. thanks to fuller plot this didn't seem like a big issue though
But despite everything this drama is close to my heart for the fact that this was one of those dramas that introduced me to kdramas ... And it's BGM is so dope .. I still hear these songs every once in a while. ❤️

A 13- rating show

The plot is absurdly juvenile—a talentless girl miraculously becomes a sensational singer, not through hard work or skill, but by relying on the magic of a pendant. To make things even more ridiculous, this enchanted pendant transfers its power from person to person through kisses. While a weak plot can sometimes be overlooked, the acting in this drama is truly unforgivable. Even newborns in diaper commercials display more believable expressions than this cast of amateurs. That said, one redeeming factor was the female lead’s eccentric wardrobe. I’m not sure which label designed those outfits, but they were undeniably vibrant and stylish—absolutely loved them. Overall, this drama is forgettable at best. You won’t be missing much by skipping it.

Lie detector and Major Maserati sponsership

First of all it might seem very childish to mention it in the review but the cars used in this show were absolute beauties .. Maserati is my dream car and watching the various models running in this drama made me excited on different level ..HOPE SOMEDAY I CAN BUY MYSELF A MASERATI CAR.

Moving forward to more detailed review .. the story was basically very straight forward a girl can detect lies ( not the real truth) so the supernatural element was very limited to play with. Of course ! When i started watching this show I was anticipating her to use her ability in crime solving and stuff on regular basis but perhaps the writer wanted something else so he made her into a private lie detector or lie hunter who works freelance for money. Okay! fair enough! But for majority of the plot her ability doesn't direct the plot in any impactful way made me think what really is the purpose of adding this element...either way in the end her ability saved the day for ML and everything came together. The Twist in the end was something unpredictable for me.

The characters written are light ... I mean no character is overpowering things are going in cycle .. there is no serious villain for that matter ..each character has its own story.

Cast is decent .. ML is good actor but he can really work on his physique he looks malnourished. The scenes where he had piggyback the FL were painful to watch .. he needs to increase his protein in take and hit the gym ASAP. The second in my opinion was far more handsome, adorable , manly and strong. FL is without a doubt a supercool actress .. I am in love with her since bring it on ghost ..she is such cutie yet acts so mature ( 2-in-1) side cast is equally amazing .. a big SHOUTOUT to the actresses playing Cassandra and FL's mother both are my personal favs . Chemistry between leads is fine ..more to the soft side than passionate.
BGM is just okay nothing fab.
Overall it was a delightful show ..worth one time watching ( I will not rewatch it )

Exorcism & Endearments

Okay, so this show? Absolute fun. It’s got ghosts, action, suspense, comedy, and just the right amount of romance—all mixed in so perfectly that I couldn’t stop watching. The ML is the definition of perfection—smart, financially stable, kind, and loyal. Basically, the guy you’d root for in any story. The FL? A complete contrast, but in the best way—playful, charming, and just full of life (ironically, considering she’s a ghost). Their chemistry? Adorable. FL reminds me of Park Bo Young all the time.

Now, let’s talk about the so-called villain. MV was just… cheap. A literal psycho who lost his mind over a cat scratch—seriously? Are you on your periods or what? I expected some grand evil plan, but nope, he just decided to be gross and pathetic instead. Killing powerless animals and pulling third-rate horror movie stunt by suffocating a girl of life support system ~ Disgusting. Zero respect for this clown.

Honestly, the monk did a better job for a villain than MV ever could. That man’s jinx energy singlehandedly caused more problems for the leads than the actual bad guy just by throwing his bad advices their way . I swear, if bad luck had a human form, it would be him.

Anyway, despite that disaster of a villain, I loved this show. The humor, the spooky elements, the romance—it all just worked so well. Definitely rewatching this one!

Definitely not for those with below average IQ

This drama is not for viewers who struggle with non-linear storytelling. The plot constantly shifts between 2024 (the cause) and 2025 (the effect), requiring attention to details. The entire story is built around the theory of multiple dimensions of time and space, making it a challenging watch for those unfamiliar with such concepts in physics and mathematics. If you find it difficult to grasp the complexities of time loops and alternate realities, this may not be the best pick.

The story maintains a strong pace, with the characters relentlessly trying to alter fate. One of the most intriguing aspects is how the future visibly changes with every choice they make. This dynamic keeps the suspense alive and makes the storytelling engaging

The male lead (ML) and female lead (FL) are well-developed characters—mature, responsible, and intelligent. Their dynamic is compelling—she brings warmth and optimism to his darkness like sunlight, while he provides her with unwavering security like the biggest pillar. As a couple, they represent an ideal partnership built on mutual support, where both complete each other in a meaningful way.

However, the final antagonist could have been written with more depth. A more layered backstory and morally complex motivations would have made the character more compelling.

The cast delivers outstanding performances. Tu Bing is impressive in her role(watching her for the first time), and Fu Zhi Xian once again showcases his versatility. Having previously seen him in Be Your Knight, Dear Liar and Present is Present, it’s evident how effortlessly he adapts to diverse roles. Additionally, his chemistry with Tu Bing enhances the drama’s appeal.

The soundtrack complements the storytelling well, adding to the emotional depth to key moments.

Overall, it’s a well-crafted drama with a gripping narrative, strong character arcs, and excellent performances.

GREENEST flag ML for those who aren't COLOUR BLIND

Okay, so the plot? Nothing revolutionary. But the comedy? Chef’s kiss. It’s fresh, spontaneous, and thankfully petty issues weren't dragged till the end though, of course!! the FL’s identity is revealed at a snail’s pace, but hey, it’s fiction—logic was never invited to the party anyway.

Now, let’s talk about the male lead (ML)—aka the Walking Green Flag that some people somehow called red.( Please get your eyes checked) ....
If this man doesn’t love you, he won’t even notice your existence. But if he does? Oh, honey, get ready because you just became his entire universe. He will save you, support you, respect your talent, and worship the ground you walk on—but won’t let you take the easy way out either. And the romance? My man is out here kissing in his sleep, kissing in the pool, passing candy through kisses, eating bread and deciding, “You know what? Another kiss.” Basically, he’s the perfect amount of horny you can ask for. Also, he doesn’t entertain side chicks, doesn’t let his woman get humiliated by anyone , and will quite literally is not afraid to put himself in harm’s way to save her . ( SOME PEOPLE CALLED HIM TOXIC - GIRL, YOUR BAR IS SO LOW. YOU IDEA OF GREEN FLAG IS PROBABLY A TRAFFIC SIGNAL TURNING RED )

Now the female lead (FL)? Beauty. Brains. Talent. Independent. Kind but not a doormat (okay, maybe a little, thanks to her leech of a family). She’s so competent that everyone wants to work with her, and honestly, she’s an inspiration. We love a queen who can hold her own grounds.

The side cast? Meh. They existed. Moving on.

Acting-wise, RR killed it. After Dai Gao, he’s the only actor I’ve seen who delivers passionate romance like he actually means it. When he lands those soft kisses while staring into the FL’s eyes? I was one second away from believing they were actually dating. Also, FL (Li Xing Yao) was so stunning, she doesnt look Asian at all ..her charm..oval cute face with big eyes —felt more like a mix of Afghan and Indian beauty. Plus her acting ~ an Absolute delight to watch.

The absurdities?

1. Her identity should have been revealed earlier because the post-reveal reconciliation was so rushed, I felt like I skipped 10 episodes.

2. The ML sleeping next to her, signing contracts, visiting her office, taking her to hospitals.. on the other side he is married to her for three years , throwing millions at her family business, —but doesn’t recognize both are the same person... Excuse me, sir, do you need glasses?

3. Grandpa-in-law out here hiring FL’s ex-boyfriend to save her family business? Grandpa, please cut us some slack world is not ready for your progressiveness.

In conclusion: Watch this if you can handle the straightforwardness of real man otherwise skip and watch something appropriate for your age.

Bad story tried with good lead actors

It's seems like a trend back in the days with kmovies You either get a good story or you get your fav actors here you get the actors .. ah you want me to comment on story ?? Two people fall in love get married then they figure out "oh! His habits are annoying" or " she keeps nagging, my god!!" Plus some misunderstanding with the ex boss ..and viola you have your share of self implicated problems which will be resolved obviously cause viewers like a happy ending. There is nothing much to comment here.
Do I recommend watching it .... Naaa if you're fan of after marriage couple fighting ..I suggest watching emergency couple atleast they got divorced before they patch up ..plus you get some medical drama in that. As for this particular one ...PASS

not impressive

plot is fine but character written are very weak especially FL she is taking slaps from literally any passerby .. she is a sucker for pleasing people .. she even pleases a lot of people she should not be .. quite pathetic if you ask me .. then the emotionally challlenged and arrogant ML with trauma past (of course! you know the drill trauma past is a must) and there strangely foolish chemistry .. he is either using his force ..or coming close to play a prank .. pinning her down to bed ..but there is not a single proper romantic moments between them .. what a waste.
talking about the actor both are good looking acting was just okay..

Time travel but in a different light

The show is interesting particularly for a short drama format ..story revolves around the ML who disappeared from the college campus 20 years ago under strange circumstances and the FL, a student on the same campus in present time, who always sees these unknown visuals about the ML in her dreams. After a chain of events she accidentally travels to the past and she decides to investigate the reason behind his disappearance.
I will have to say one thing; I couldn't predict the ending (though for most of the dramas I can ) which was quite amusing.
The chemistry between leads is cute but childish you will have to bear with it afterall people were quite reserved in that era. Secondly the time travel power is overused to the point of 'abused' here, I don't know exactly how many trips she took back and forth in time, seemed unnecessary if you ask me.

Overall the drama is good ...has a feel good touch to it ... A straight plot with consistent pace.

Lacked creativity

Ah, another revenge drama where originality took a long vacation! The writer must have thought, “Why settle for one copy-paste storyline when we can have two?” So here we are, with both the FL and SFL on a mission to avenge their families—also seems like in china it's a trend that if you want revenge you have to be either an opera singer or bar dancer .. for the rest you can try changing your citizenship.

And our FL’s master plan? Very inconsistent sometimes her actions look very brave other times stupid. Either way with all her martial arts and weapon expertise she still can't deliver anything. For half of the show her face is shown beaten to pulp after one fight or the other .. yet there is absolutely no result .. as far as performance of the actress is involved, she can definitely work on her crying portion .. her sad and crying act doesn't feel convincing.
Meanwhile, our ML was either injured, dead, or just plain useless. 😒 His only part in the show was to kiss ..and kiss more.

The pacing? Chaotic. Secrets spilled faster than asked. After that everything seem flat and predictable. Moreover I personally felt villain of this show wasn't that invisible but he was portrayed like some god of cartels... Fool was just a watchdog to big fishes in the pond yet why he was left alive even when he was on the gun point multiple times. Beats me ...
All in all, this show lost me early on, then there was. No hope till the end.

Hypnosis used in most productive way

The story has quite a unique take against rejections , I will give it that. When you see average FL in an average story behaving like stick-ons even after multiple rejections using their last ounces of perseverance in shamelessly chasing the man ... This plot gave a very illogical but interesting way out of such situation. The FL braces herself and her self respect and decides to find a sure shot way to forget the man (once and for all) ..so she uses hypnosis to get rid of his memories more so her feelings for him. It works or it doesn't that's for you to watch (no spoilers here)

The lead actors are average, no oscar winning performances .. chemistry was equally okay ..not too good not too bad ...
Other things like music, production value ,styling etc were minimal nothing fancy.

Overall a good drama to enjoy with your dinner of you don't have anything else to watch.

Take revenge...fall off cliff .. but don't make me fall in love with you before that PRETTY PLEASE

So, here we are—Season 2, bigger, grander, and somehow even more circumstantial than before. Secrets that were once teased are now thrown into the open, and an entire palace upgrade has happened. We’ve got a flood of new characters, from the king to the empress, and my personal favorite, Consort Yue—absolute savage, that woman.

Our girl NN is now on her "How to Be a Proper Wife" crash course before marrying Zisheng, because why not? But let’s talk about the plot… Moderate to slow at best. Interesting? Sure. But necessary? Not always. And that five-year time skip? I need answers.

Imagine this—I mess up badly with the love of my life, instead of dealing with it, I pack my bags and run off to the border for five years. Who does that?! Apologies? Growth? Acknowledgment of mistakes? Nah, let’s just vanish and act like that solves everything. Writers, who exactly are you fooling here?

And the leads? Their chemistry went from questionable in Season 1 to baffling in Season 2. Zhao Lusi, babe, what’s up? Wu Lie is out here trying his best, and she can’t even look him in the eyes properly, let alone give him a decent hug. Maybe it was her health issues at the time, but their dynamic felt so awkward. That said, her performance overall? Phenomenal. She had me in tears multiple times.

Now, where this season really shined was the script—hilarious, witty, and saved the whole thing. The emperor, queen, and consort scenes? Gold. Side characters? MVPs. But logical inconsistencies? Plenty.

Logic Challenges This Drama Throws at You:

1️⃣ Every single character has either trauma, revenge plans, or deep-seated emotional baggage. Not a single normal human in sight.

2️⃣ Somehow, NN shows up in the palace and fixes everything in a month. The third and fifth princess lived there for 18 years and couldn’t do it, but sure, she’s the chosen one.

3️⃣ The five-year leap. Again, WHY?! Just because you have no creative ways to counter the crap you have written you will throw it all to the leap ..right ?? The whole idea of him involving her (yet not involving her) in the so called 'revenge' plan was stupid and on top your writing made it unbearable... You introduced the leads as people of high intellect and smartness and yet you came up with this solution... DISAPPOINTING !!!

Despite the pacing issues, this season was fun, thanks to the humor and side cast. But some logic? Thrown into the palace moat.

Extraordinary blend of everything 'ordinary' ~ Office romance and cold medicine ad

A Predictable Yet Addictive Romance with a Frustratingly Offbeat Ending

This drama is the epitome of a guilty pleasure—nothing groundbreaking, no mind-bending twists, just a straightforward love story set in a modern workplace. Yet somehow, despite its overload of clichés and a series of unbelievable misfortunes, it manages to keep you second-guessing.

At its core, the plot revolves around our leads missing each other time and time again due to fate’s cruel sense of humor. Every time they get close, life throws a wrench in their plans—refusals, regrets, rejections—rinse and repeat. You know what’s coming, but you can’t help but stay hooked.

The Leads & Their Unbreakable Bond

Our ML, a coding prodigy with a tragic backstory, is the walking definition of resilience. He’s been dealt the worst possible hand in life—a runaway father drowning in debt, a newborn brother to take care of, and the cherry on top: a false accusation of illegal hacking that shatters both his golden career and his shot at love. Vin Zhang absolutely nailed this role, but I have to admit—the kid playing his younger self? Stole the show.

Then we have our FL, a carefree, happy-go-lucky heiress who suddenly finds herself burdened with the impossible task of reviving a dying company. Her childhood version was beyond adorable, but I have one pressing question: How did she shrink? Girl was taller as a kid than as an adult—make it make sense!

Romantic Chemistry? Off the Charts.

From the very beginning, these two had an undeniable spark, coupled with a rare, unwavering loyalty. They weren’t just lovers—they were best friends, partners-in-crime, and each other’s biggest supporters. Their playful dynamic had my heart doing cartwheels. And don’t even get me started on their romantic moments—his possessive kisses, that chewing gum-snatching scene (whew!), the way he silently guided her without ever dimming her light… Absolute perfection.

She, in turn, never played the privileged heiress card—except when it came to protecting his dignity. And when she did? Full throttle. No hesitation. No damsel in distress nonsense.

Also, the subtle humor sprinkled throughout? Chef’s kiss. Just enough to make you smile, without crossing into cringeworthy territory.

And Then… That Ending.

Sigh. The finale did me so dirty. I genuinely don’t know what possessed the writer to add that absolutely unnecessary sequence with their son selling the house because "it’s always vacant." EXCUSE ME?! After everything Xiang Yuan and Xu Yanshi went through, after both of them struggled with absent parents, the last thing I wanted was their kid feeling the same void.

Would it have killed them to include a scene where the two of them show up for their son’s school event, proving they’ve learned from their past? Instead, we get a gut-punch of an ending that completely contradicts their character growth.

Final thoughts? A beautifully engaging drama with all the right elements—romance, loyalty, sizzling chemistry—but that ending? A crime.

Another itazura na kiss adaptation

I have read the manga watched the anime back in the days of my childhood and since then I have seen this masterpiece being moulded into various adaptation. Itazura na kiss as a story is not my ultimate favourite but yes it is one of those cult favourites like boys over flowers and skip beat which have various remakes all over the globe.

Talking about this particular adaptation the cast is good looking ( not very common in Jdramas) acting was mediocre but spontaneous and enjoyable .. There is nothing much to talk about plot as it's roughly the same as manga itself .. music was okay

Overall good but if you already know the story you can skip, watching new drama is always a better devision than watching remakes.

In the wake of BORING .. i almost slept

This drama ... I don't know if it is because I was watching it @3 AM, ... Was the most difficult drama to finish ... It was so so so boring.
Story revolves around revenge ( of course ) FL's father is killed and she is running a lame investigation... No !! I mean literally lame ..hardly any clues there ... And if there is a clue she misinterpreted it ... If it were not for the ML she couldn't have gotten anywhere . ..

I don't understand how come writers of these shows create them dimwit FL character and put them in a plot where they have to deliver complex targets and revenges ... I mean can a woman who is so stupid to try kill someone in a gathering of many using a stupid hairpin, do any rigid investigation... ??
