A circus of misplaced emotions

I don’t know what I was expecting from this drama, but it definitely wasn’t this circus. The plot had potential, like most pre-Republican stories, but again the writer forgot how to actually use it. The female lead is on a revenge mission, but her idea of revenge is pulling out a gun 99 times and only shooting once. The rest of the time she’s busy kissing the ML and smudging her cheap red lipstick all over his face 🤡. No investigation, no planning, no brains. Just 💋

And somehow, she also wants to save society. Like girl, you can’t even save your own storyline.

The ML was all action, no delivery. Though I’ll give him some credit for doing our useless FL's share of investigation on her behalf. His reaction after killing his brother was just weird fake guilt, especially when both leads were hooking behind his back.

The SML wasn’t some tragic hero either. He claimed he loved her and dreamed of marrying her, but goes missing whenever his presence needed. Both times the FL was humiliated by that leacher man sent by his own father to rape her, this So called lover boy was nowhere to be found. Instead He followed his traitor father like a loyal puppy, ignored her pain and loss altogether. In fact He didn’t even try to hold his father accountable for conspiring against the nation. And the one time he “thought of her,” his brilliant plan was… running away. Not standing with her to face the odds Just running. Peak spineless energy.

So no, I didn’t feel bad for him at all. A man without backbone deserves the fall he gets.

Still, I liked that the story gave him some dignity in the end. The FL and ML went their separate ways, and she stayed engaged to the SML… or at least that’s how I interpreted her staring at the ring like it was a life decision instead of a piece of metal.

If the writer deliberately wrote this nonsense to make people hate these characters then I will this was an extremely good attempt but the writer was expecting as to feel sympathetic with them .. then I am sorry my sympathy has it's own IQ ..i can't feel it for these characters clowns even if I want to.

Week plot weak characters weak chemistry

I’m convinced the police department doesn’t exist in Chinese short dramas. The FL rescues a child from an abusive father and instead of dialing one number or even threatening legal action, she goes full spiritual influencer mode whispering, “Karma will come for you.” Well, karma missed its train, because the parasite came back and kidnapped the kid again.

As if karma’s disappearance wasn’t tragic enough, this woman gets slapped around 5 to 7 times in a two-hour-fifteen-minute plot. She’s not even a female lead at this point, she’s a designated punching bag with dialogue privileges.

And the ML or whatever that is , wasn't better either I mean his unhinged fiancée slapping his wife and psychologically distressing his baby niece he just letting this mental woman slide with soft warnings every time ..the warnings which she treats like friendly suggestions and ignores right away..
Sure, let’s blame it on his “business obligations”. Billion-dollar deals, global meetings, blah blah. Meanwhile, a walking mental hazard is out here terrorizing his wife and traumatizing a child, and his grand solution is… a warning speech that too delivered in installations . Not security, not legal action, not medical help ....not even an advisory " stay away from this woman".

With such weak characters chemistry seems even bigger luxury ... And as you must have already predicted it was flat .. blank faces .. artificial tears ... sunkissed look and loads of forced forehead kisses ... Even their love making scene felt like a skincare commercial.

So if you have a low bar for everything you can definitely watch it but remember it wasn't recommended by me ...

Cute Chaos in Catastrophe

What a lovely plot. A zombie outbreak hits the city, and our FL ,the only real provider of her useless squad, gets betrayed and left outside as zombie snacks. Thankfully, the ML saves her… and he just happens to be the zombie king with a mutation gene of absolute supremacy (plus built-in antibodies). He is basically the leader of these zombies and they stay obedient to him.

Zombie apocalypse stories usually horrify me, so I avoid them, But this one has such a playful vibe. The FL is a full-time drama queen in the best way. Her extra-ness is hilarious, and she’s adorable to watch.

The ML is ridiculously handsome. I’ve seen him pop up in so many dramas. here he was so expressive through his facial gestures ..I mean for the fact that the character he played was zombie, who are almost mute or very less talkative he had to say so many things through his expressions..and honey his expressions are so beautiful.. I was literally watching him on repeat doing those quirky things with his blue-red eyes and brow ..
The chemistry between these two was outstanding.. he cant speak and she can't keep quiet ...perfect match made in heaven. Romance was more on cuter side. Side cast was also good. I think for medium budget production this drama passed the expectations by ten Folds.

Totally recommended. 🧟‍♀️🧟

Addictive despite the mess

From the very beginning, the conspiracy plot felt weak and underdeveloped. The execution of FL’s mother solely based on a child’s testimony just wasn’t convincing. For such a serious crime, the lack of proper investigation made the foundation of the story feel unstable.

Then came the revenge plan, which honestly felt like it was written under a rush. Of all possible ways to destroy a man, she decided to become his concubine and sleep with him. The same man who, as a child, accused her mother and got her killed. Like… girl, when your father was murdered, the culprit didn’t seduce him first. Mind taking some lessons.

Just when I thought the plot couldn’t tangle itself more, boom, they drop the “they’re siblings” bomb. Then minutes later, nope, not siblings. By this point my brain was twisted into origami as the narrative had already lost clarity, especially when it was revealed she belonged to the same family that once accused her mother. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!

Jiulin was, as expected, absolutely brilliant.l, Just in the right amounts ..not overdoing anything . The FL was new to me, but I can’t deny she delivered. Their chemistry? ⚡ ⚡. Their romance?💋💋. The love scenes?🔥 🔥

Overall verdict: yes it is messy, logic seemed undersupplied, And yet… somehow… despite all this chaos, i just couldn't drop it.. you might not be able to do it as well ...This show challenges the masochist in you. I kept rolling my eyes on screen , questioning the writer’s life choices, and still binged till the end.

Logic Loss

From the very beginning, this drama showed zero quality in writing. The FL is a modern martial artist who suddenly enters the body of a girl (transmigration , of course!!) about to be killed by bandits. They take her to their disgusting old leader, and she kills him effortlessly. She even beats up the whole gang and becomes their boss ...... fine, I accepted that.

But what made absolutely no sense to me was what came after.

How can a woman who defeated ten armed men in a breathe, suddenly fail to handle the leader’s useless, brainless daughter? This bimbo creates mess after mess, yet the FL keeps forgiving her like she’s some saint with selective memory. It’s as if the writer forgot she’s a martial artist whenever the plot needed extra chaos.

By the end, this “strong” FL becomes a complete liability because of poor writing and zero logic.

Honestly, a classic example of limited creativity. Total disappointment.

Good story ..though I felt 3.5 hours duration was just too long for its narration ... And yes I skipped a lot (unapologetically) ... Talking about the plot as I said too long as it sailed too slow ... jian Qi and gege were good ..gege is the queen of fragile, soft, calm and quite FL character roles and jian qi just brought his best support to her as ML ... Their chemistry is good you can clearly see the affection part but seduction .... Ah!! No baby !!! Jian qi didn't even used his signature lip lock ..so seduction part was totally lacking.

Apart from this, There is not much too discuss ..side cast was ...... Was there I am sure 🤔 ..but nothing worth noting ...

Overall a good watch (keep the skip button 🔘 with you )

Sweet ... Simple... Surprisingly Satisfying..

It's a sweet... light-hearted drama about a married couple who divorce after a series of misunderstandings, only to slowly rekindle their romance. Meng Na and Jian Qi, as always, brought their best to the screen. Their chemistry felt warm and fluffy ,.. full of respect, care, and a quiet kind of love that shows even in their playful banter 🥰🥰

Honestly, they looked so visually appealing together that a few plot loopholes were easy to forgive.

I also loved the styling: Jian Qi absolutely rocked that red-burgundy hair, and Meng Na’s wardrobe 👗 was chef’s kiss... classy, modern, and perfectly curated.

Overall, it was an enjoyable, feel-good watch.🙂🙃

A tale of fools' sacrifice

A smart person chooses strategy, not struggle .... but clearly the leads in this drama didn’t get the memo. Nothing about their situation was serious enough to justify the Olympic-level suffering they went through. Deaths, rapes, tragedies stacked like monthly EMI bills… all for what? It felt excessive, pointless, and honestly, badly written.

And then there’s this old, haggard, wife beater who can't even erect his joystick . This impotent ( NOT IMPORTANT) man is literally unstoppable...nobody seems to be able to do anything about this disgusting pest. He’s out there burning houses, drowning kids, electrocuting women on stage, doing fraud, defaulting on business deals, shaking hands with national enemies , basically a walking crime buffet .... and what do the people fight him with? Punches and hairpins. Hairpins, babe. At this point it’s not a drama, it’s a comedy.

This man could’ve been deleted from the script in episode five with one well-aimed push down the stairs. But no~~~~~~ the production team dragged him all the way to the finale. Maybe they loved him too much. Maybe they owed him money. Who knows.

And then the ML… oh god.
Why is he reciting his tragic love story to the Japanese general? Was he trying to defeat him with boredom? “Here sir!! let me give you 30 minutes of emotional TED Talk so you leave the country voluntarily.”

Honestly… unimpressed. Severely.

Only the OST survived this disaster.

Spoiler: despite all this nonsense, the ML still dies in the end. The only thing he defeated was himself.

A pact of Blood for Revenge

I found this plot genuinely engagin' ... the pacing was solid... carried a steady momentum. Well if we can just overlook a few illogical and unnecessary activities like the leads fleeing the city as fugitives only to come back and go to their own manors later.... the storytelling overall was well done. In my opinion the minimal use of comic relief ( which was good humour BTW) worked in the drama’s favor, preserving the core essence of its genre.

Both the male and female leads were written beautifully withright amount of depth and balance. They’re witty, brave, loyal, and intelligent.... ~~~an inspiring duo whose chemistry evolves beautifully as their paths and goals begin to align. Together, they share an easy yet passionate companionship(i mean look at those blood sucking intimate scenes ) .... flirty(loaded with seduction) and possessive (especially the ML), just unapologetically protective of each other, and bound by genuine trust and respect. Like 'being there of each other' or 'keeping each other's back' type of camaraderie.

The female lead was a standout for me, (which rarely happens) She’s bold, beautiful, kind, and emotional yet rational~~~ a brilliant mix of strength and grace, a brave warrior, a sharp strategist, and a compassionate heart .... all perfection rolled into one and Zhenzhen portrayed her perfectly.

The male lead, on the other hand, was your classic misunderstood hero who eventually redeems himself. Ye Shengjia, with his naturally youthful looks, appeared even younger than both the FL and SML~~~but his charm made it work.

The fight choreography deserves special mention, especially for the FL’s scenes as a general. Her moves were sharp and impressively clea n~~ which is quite rare in short drama format ... this level of precision and quality in their action sequences.

Overall I loved this drama a lot and totally recommending it to all, who are in this revenge reborn type stuff..

Quick sparks

Short, simple, and to-the-point... And enjoyable plot, though it seemed rushed around important developments.... especially the leads’ love story, which developed too quickly even for a short format. Fang Tong was amazing as always, but Fang Xiao Dong seemed a bit immature in his acting. No one in the supporting cast really caught my attention.

A few things that felt a little annoying:
1. The music was louder than the dialogue.
2. The side villain was literally on the loose, and no one held her accountable for anything. At this point, it felt like there was a big creative gap in building a proper conspiracy.

Still, It was a decent one time watch.

Even with lots of glitter, pearls, and crystals, this drama was a big letdown.?‍?

Sometimes when the script lacks depth, outstanding performances by the cast can compensate.
But this one had none.😮‍💨 The storytelling is lame. The writer stuck to a painfully obvious plot with repetitive use of the same catalyst (ML's bestie/vamp) to trigger the same conflict again and again.🔄

The vamp likes the ML, but he loves the FL. She gets jealous and, with every rejected approach from the ML, she creates more trouble for the FL to defame her name and business. But every time, the ML lets her off with a half-hearted warning no one takes seriously. (Rinse and repeat.) Honestly, the entire show felt low on creativity and luster. 🫤

Plot holes – they didn’t even bother changing the characters’ outfits for scenes that were six months apart. For example, in both Milan trips, they're wearing the exact same clothes. Same thing happened when the FL was opening her store—she wore the same outfit across a five-day timeline. Lazy much? 😑

Characters
Sichen (the ML): Garrulous and mostly absent during serious moments. Most of his work is done by the SML. His blind forgiveness toward his vamp bestie is astonishing. My guy is 90% sweet talk and lousy possessiveness, and only 10% actual action. Pathetic.😒
The actor playing him doesn’t help either—barely any variation in expressions and frankly, his looks don’t impress me.🙄

Xixi (the FL): Her character is consistent—nothing particularly negative. She’s a career-oriented woman, but somehow never reads the documents before signing them, and gives in too easily to her beggar mom’s emotional manipulation. A good daughter? Maybe.😬
The actress has average baby-faced looks with a generous splash of overacting. Considering the talent in C-dramas, she feels like a Grade B or C actress in China. Not very promising.🥲

The rest of the cast? A pain in the ass. Not a single actor or character worth praising.🫢

FL’s bestie: What in the Mary’s world is wrong with her? First, the pathetic acting. Second, the lame ideas she gives the FL.

ML’s bestie and his girlfriend: A couple that deserves a “skipping ovation.” Just skip their scenes—they’re painfully boring, especially the ML's bestie.

FL’s mother: This woman is always seen with a begging bowl—whether it’s her daughter, son-in-law, or daughter’s friends. She has zero shame about asking, apparently because all her earnings are taken by her husband and MIL. Third-grade behavior.

Despite all this, the last two episodes were okay. I’m at least satisfied with the closure.😌

I think I skipped 60% of the show, so you can imagine the disappointment.💔

Do I recommend it? Well… no. There are far fewer takeaways compared to the time invested in this show. 👎

FL : Who Killed My Dad? Who Knows, Let’s Drag It Out!

Another drama where nobody dares to tell the truth because—well!!! If they did, how else would they drag the story out for 20 episodes?

The FL has dreams of her past (which, of course, she has conveniently forgotten) where she witnesses her father’s murder. Determined to uncover the truth, she embarks on an investigation, stumbles upon the ML, and… well, no further spoilers.

The plot is weak and painfully unoriginal. ML had his own deep reasons for doing what he did, but instead of offering a logical explanation, he chose the noble path of silence—leading to endless misunderstandings, wasted time, unnecessary deaths, and for us, an extended storyline we never asked for.

FL’s acting is, at best, average. I’ve seen her in other dramas, and my opinion remains unchanged—improvement is clearly not on her to-do list. ML, on the other hand, is a different story. His expressions of silent suffering? Absolute chef’s kiss. You can feel the heartbreak oozing from his soul.

The main highlight of the drama? Even after losing her memories multiple times, FL somehow keeps falling for the same guy. Either it’s true love or a serious case of déjà vu.

You could give it a try if you manage to find a version with decent subtitles—personally, I struggled a lot with that. But if you can’t, just skip it. You won’t be missing much.

Good for a single time indulgence

Short dramas like this are neither much of hit nor miss.. just a sweet heart warming story, good for the dinner time. The plot is always pretty much predictable or full of clichès but will still keep you engaged.
Main highlight was the cast ..I love the FL she cute and acts fine ( I mean there is a good room for improvement) whereas ML is experienced.. have seen him in multiple dramas .. I find his work fairly good. Chemistry between the two is if not fire but atleast warm. That pretty much it about the drama
You can give it a try 🫰

"It only takes an F to turn law into flaw."

This drama had a strong start, gripping and full of promise. But as it progressed, it lost sight of its core theme. The lead team—initially driven by the need to correct the failures of the legal system—began second-guessing their mission, tangled between their principles and societal stereotypes. The concept of vigilante justice demands unwavering conviction, especially in a world where “law is always right” is an illusion. Laws are written by imperfect humans, filled with loopholes, and sometimes, justice is either insufficient or entirely absent. In such cases, when crimes are undeniable and victims countless, non-state actors become a necessity.

But this drama? It took a nosedive the moment an utterly useless prosecutor—boasting a flawless record of failure—started spouting idealistic legal virtues. And shockingly, the lead character bought into it. If this prosecutor had a history of actually delivering justice, perhaps her influence would be somewhat convincing. But watching the ML get manipulated by this deadweight of a character? Sorry, can’t relate. This was the turning point, and the plot never recovered. Instead, it spiraled downward, with the FL practically shoving it into the drain.

The organ trafficking case was dragged out unnecessarily. Meanwhile, the prosecutor and her equally useless counterpart were more focused on chasing the ML than on the real criminals—a literal bus full of them escaping right under their noses. In reality, they would’ve been suspended for sheer incompetence. But of course, the drama couldn’t afford to question the sanctity of law enforcement. So, instead of exposing the system’s flaws, the plot took a ridiculous turn—parading around convicted criminals like VIPs—only for the prosecutor to still lack evidence. It wasn’t until four out of five members of the core team got hurt that she miraculously decided to start using her brain. But shhh, we must never question a law enforcer. Law is supreme (with all its loopholes).

That being said, the cast did their best. Lee Je Hoon delivered a solid performance, though his fight scenes could’ve been better. Esom, as the prosecutor, was stiff as always—I never find her convincing. The real FL for me? Pyo Ye Jin. The supporting cast, including guest appearances, was commendable. The BGM, dominated by violin melodies, effectively set the mood.

Final Verdict: This show was a wasted potential case. With a premise like this, the writer could’ve unleashed a storm of creativity. Instead, they played it safe, shallow, and frustratingly naive.

I am pretending to be my twin brother who is pretending to be me.

Two twists , 180 degrees each get you in the direction that you were originally facing .. similarly when you pretend to be your twin brother who is pretending to be you . ... You are pretending to be 'YOU' ... This is more or less the main plot of this drama ... NICE.. little different from the traditional twin plot .. i enjoyed it till the mid ... But .. but ... I don't understand one thing ...the ML didn't want to tell FL that he is he chen ( her lover) cause he didn't want her to get in trouble but he was okay with her taking risks to find his location/information from the villain uncle ...does it make any sense... ??

Cast is amazing ... I like Gua jin his acts well plus he is cute .. FL was relatively new face to me she looks a lot like korean actress played the FL in king the land ..but the one I loved the most was Roi ( villain uncle) ... He is handsome. Side chic is good but her styling was cheap ...

Overall a good story .. worth watching.
