It's not at all like WoH. This is a bond thats shared by brother, family. A family they chose and stuck by. I…
The Chinese industry is a slippery slope.
Recently...like 2 days ago....Zhong Chuxi, Gong Jun's costar in Rising With The Wind, was getting those death threats and advice that she should quit the whole industry.
The issue actually trended number 1 on Weibo. You won't believe what she did.
The reason she was getting hundreds of thousands of people hating on her was that.....there was this fashion event....red carpet and all.
It was some Vogue thing....so a group of invited celebs appeared...then at the end of the event.....they all took a group photo.
Zhong Chuxi's big sin was that she appeared in the center.
They claimed she didn't deserve the spot, she should have given it up for Yang Mi who was the most famous person there, that she was arrogant and an attention whoreðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜Im not even exaggerating....those where the exact words she was called.
The moment before the photo...that whole center position thing was actually a hot potato....The less established actors where running away from it cause they knew it would cause noise...and the more established actors where also avoiding it out of fear they'd be called out for not being 'humble enough after fake'.
They spent minutes politely stepping away from that spot till Zhong Chuxi just said 'fuck it' and stood there so they could take the photo and move on.
She was trending all day...the fans of the actresses who believed their faves deserved the 'center spot' attacking her, her career, her looks, literally everything.
That's the Chinese industry....you literally have to be cautious with every thing.
Even Zhao Laying, one of the top actresses there...multiple award winner, was labelled 'a difficult bitch' basically, after she asked that her child not be photographed.
It's not at all like WoH. This is a bond thats shared by brother, family. A family they chose and stuck by. I…
It happens i guess....i remember one of the antagonists in Story of Yanxi palace ...a man....did mention once that he got a lot of hate after that...but it was a bit more playful...the majority of watchers are female after all and we cant help but hold females to a higher standard.
So it does happen for males too...but its usually less impactful....they move past that quickly....Now for women.....

They try to avoid those roles. That's why only the unknown actresses would take such roles...which have this much risk.
Someone like Peng Xiaoran is established...that's why she'd even choose a smaller role than this one.
It is known that certain roles can threaten your career.....its a risk to take them.
When you're strong enough...when you have a status in the industry....then you can choose the roles that paint you in the best light. Cause roles unfortunately do spill over into real life especially in a country like China where social media is such a prominent part of their life.
The line between real and fake is very thin there.....the parasocial relationships are insane.

It does happen. The fls in Blood of Youth where annihilated online.....But perhaps worse is the fl from that one bromance 'My Roommate is a Detective'.
She married one of the guys in the end.. she was dragged for years...death threats and all.
In China its not only villain roles that can make people despise you (Chen Duling after she played a villainess in Till The End of The Moon was downright nearly blackballed...her drama The Glory was literally her redemption), but roles that interfere between boys love....those are risky af.

Its wild out there.....WILD! Like i said...you'd swear these two are getting married soon.
Very different from whats happening. That's why people end up hating the fl....they come in with false expectations from those edits....and after a while the fl ends up an eyesore and the source of all the disappointment.
A shame.
To those who continuously ask why Peng Xiaoran didn't take the fl role...that's why.
These fls who end up between a 'shippable' bromance like this never end well....Peng Xiaoran would not take that role.
It's crazy how much a simple song can affect something.
With the edits spreading out there, you'd swear that Su Muyu and Su Changhe are one step into marriage or whatever....but now that I'm watching the scenes myselfðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
These two are brothers.....like...there's no question there. This is NOT giving Word of Honor...not in the slightest.
I forgot the internet and its edits convinced me Trump and Elon where in love too😹😹
I think I have a better understanding of the heat index now. but whats S+ rating?
That's why we are encouraged not to pay attention to most of them...just the ones from listed companies who actually have the means to collect data.....
I think I have a better understanding of the heat index now. but whats S+ rating?
girl i donno.....there's like 54 different rankings in China.....Maoyan, Cloud, Heat Index, Vlinkage.....whatever random word you can think ofðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Even the Chinese audience sometimes doesn't know....some in the comments where as confused as you are.
At this point we just 'Yay' to whatever.
But S+ is a good thing....i think its mostly rating the quality of the drama....before it had no rating then it rose to A+ then yesterday it became S+....so just Yay😂😂

Literal shivers😪😪
You all can have Su Changhe for the night.....I'm switching sides now...Su Muyu is mine...the doctor will have to fight me for him😑😑
Its mostly about the ml and the 2md ml trying to lead the assassins out of that life where they are forced to kill and be controlled by others.
