i think its cantonese ...a different dialect. there's over a hundred dialects in China...that's one of the reasons dubbing exists cause these actors speak different dialects....it was a nice surprise to see him speaking his own dialect

Book fans usually critique a lot and complain about the adaptation of the novel...and they are one of the biggest hurdles the actors have to pass.
In this case...its been trending on Weibo since yesterday that the fans of the novel of Blood River unanimously agree that Gong Jun is the perfect Su Muyu and he has bought him into life in a way that has satisfied them immensely and they have been praising him and the whole team.
Additionally, in a show of support, fans of the nove (not fans of the actors)l have booked an entire theatre to view the drama together some time next week.
So according to fans of the original book, this show is everything they imagined and it has their full support.
