Is it just me but is the mom of the ML worse in the Korean version than the Chinese one? I felt like the Chinese v mom was more apologetic when she came back? And she owned up to her abandoning him when she was coming back and her mother was pushing the relationship between him and her daughter and she was giving him his space before the accident happened but I just hate how evil the Korean v mom is in the earlier episodes I can’t even imagine how she’ll be in the later episodes.
The Chinese version mom blamed him in the past but never did that when she came back..she just wanted him to herself which was bad but not as bad as this one. I hate how they changed so many things from the original. Sad bc the Chinese version was classic.
This show shows that it's available on Netflix does anyone know what countries it's available in? Or will it be available after the show ends? Was anyone able to see this show at all on Netflix ?
That’s not correct. Sorry for the correction but the reason she hates her is because they and their parent’s got abandoned but the way they grew up treated is different. Jiwon’s dad loved and adored her but Sumin’s mom hated and resented her even though she didn’t do anything. Her mom blamed her by default for being her father’s daughter. And I guess that blew a fuse in Sumin on the fact that they both were in a similar situation but their upbringing differed based on how their remaining parent’s treated them. She probably wanted to make her miserable since she blamed juwon’s mom for ruining her happy family and thought juwon should be as miserable as she was. If that makes sense.
I noticed on episode 3 they mentioned that the ML’s mom died and I remember in the webtoon she was such a cool character what’s up with that? Was she a step mom or something? And I don’t remember the grandpa was he in the webtoon?
I don’t have that much interest in bed scenes but I am more of a plot person so I don’t know you will like…
For me it’s both. I’ve seen just shows that tries to appeal to people through the bed/kiss scenes and those didn’t work for me either. I tend to look for something has both but the plot plays a huge part too.
Thanks for those recommendations I’ll check them out.
Can I get BL recommendations? I enjoy watching this drama and I wanted to watch a drama that’s similar.
So far BL shows I’ve enjoyed are pit babe, love in the air, cutie pie, Taikan Yoho, and I feel you linger in the air. (The cast in the shows I mentioned really look like they’re in love and I loved that)
I noticed I love shows where the leads have amazing chemistry and and have hawt bed/kissing scenes 🫢 I’m a new newcomer and I was wondering if there are any other gems like these I haven’t discovered yet.
I’ll be so angry if the assistant steals the main position from the female lead 😪 I really hope they don’t go that route where they have to take her down bc I don’t want her to go up in the first place. This show is so stressful to watch I hope the episodes she spends in her hometown is more heartwarming. Shows made in islands are always warm but this show for some reason seems stressful based off the first two episodes but I’ll wait for more episodes to judge.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I found it unfortunate when they killed off Hwaja. I honestly felt like her character had so much potential since she was changing for the better. She showed her loyalty and she died because she protected namsoon. I was kind of hoping she’d get adopted and live with them as a family like she was promised. The messages namsoon read about her talking about her “new family” was honestly sad. There’s so much that could’ve been with her but they just killed her off. I’m not gonna lie I hated her at first and I was so annoyed by the fake daughter trope. And the only people she has wronged were namsoon and her family and they forgave her so she didn’t have to die honestly. I’m constantly seeing people defending shi oh but I haven’t seen others pity characters like hwaja since she had a sad past too. They haven’t showed much about her past but one would assume that she hasn’t lived the best life. Ofc I know shi oh had it worse and if he met better parents he would’ve been a better person. I just can’t help but pity her character honestly mainly because she looked so happy and motivated before she died.
it seems like they’re hinting at a season 3 with a strong boy type of theme… hmm I hope they don’t butcher it if they plan on a new season.
Did the novel ever mention the life of the other leads after the female leads death in the first life? The drama never showed it and I truly wonder if they succeeded in rebelling and if ZZ lived? He remembers his second life too so I wonder if he died at the same time as the female lead.
Another question is did the sister in the novel become a concubine as well? Did they ever talk about her life with the one she loved ? In the drama I felt sorry for the girl who got picked for the “main wife” she was ultimately chosen to be in a loveless marriage and she seemed to be the least problematic one and she didn’t look like she liked being chosen either I honestly just felt bad for her 😅 was her character an add on for just the drama ?
Yes, YL raped her. So she was so desperate so he tried to seduce XW but he was on his very hard drugs so he didn't…
Oh I must have misunderstood XW. Honestly the only negative thing about him was the fact that he was a bystander and if he gave her the dagger then honestly he’s the most worthy of her🫢 I’ve been observing them and he seems to have the most chemistry with her and he’s honestly the one at least in the second life who’s always saving her and it’s cute how he’s always showing her his vulnerable side. Glad I was wrong about him. I was so conflicted bc of that view on him 😅
ZZ is the man that for JXN is the best (but not suited with her) The fact that JXN cant be with ZZ ( in the novel…
That’s sort of how I interpreted but when I saw her giving herself to XW in her first like I sort of questioned my first thoughts but you’re right just because she gave her body away doesn’t mean she’s less hurt. Especially since YL was a really good friend of hers like I get she betrayed him to some extent but I feel like she’d feel the most betrayed with him because of their relationship but then again I guess they’re tit for tat in that case. Since they both hurt and betrayed each other but for some reason his betrayal hurts even more 😅 maybe that’s just me. If he raped her that is. But I’m glad she learned from her mistakes in the second half.
first of all, who is the Yan Ian you're referring to exactly? Please correct the spelling. Are you referring to…
My bad I was thrown off by your spelling comment and I can see that I could’ve misunderstood. But when I first read it I just felt judged for some reason for not knowing how to spell his name. Like even if I spelt it wrong I assumed people would know who or what I meant. And I can see that maybe some didn’t. And for that reason I did see your other comments in a different lens. I didn’t mean for this to get this out of hand. I just wanted to discuss the drama with people who enjoy it. I no longer feel that way since I believe that you didn’t mean any harm. I just read it that way at the time.
Lastly, don't mix novel with live adaptation because live adaptation is not aligned exactly to the novel.
Maybe I overreacted. I don’t comment often. I based everything based on your first comment. I didn’t mean to go off either. Now That I read your comments i maybe misunderstood. I just wanted to ask questions and I felt attacked for some reason.
