seems like this show didn't get many comments or rave online. not sure why! would it be worth to start, anyone?
I've watched 2 episodes so far. It's a solid show, but subs aren't that good.

They will never. It's a speciality of MGTV aka MangoTV to always use machine translated subs and never listen…
Yeah, I guess it makes sense because international audience is a niche market for them, and cdramas aren't as popular as kdramas.

It's a new OTT platform. I don't even know how that works. I think it's only available in South Korea for now.
I see. Thanks for the info!

I’m curious what dynasty is this drama set in?? Sometime after the Tang Dynasty?
I don't think it's the Tang dynasty as it has a very particular fashion. It's more likely a mix of Song and Ming dynasty with a touch of Tang.

I didn't realize Liu Tao was that woman. I really thought she looked familiar, and it turned out that it was really her!

The Daoist, who pretended to be a kid, ran out of the ship to greet the second sister, only to get kicked into the sea...that was funny!

And I remember that kid poisoned his own master in Jol!

I can always tell when the writer is a male because the FL is beyond unreasonable.
LOL. And you can always tell a writer is a female because ML acts arrogant, expressionless, and no personality!

I just finished Luoyang and im thinking about starting this one next. I would like to know if the story is easy…
The story is easy to follow, but the pace is slow. A lot more political scheming/strategy. Obviously, not as big budget as Luoyang, but this show is more interesting to me.

Don't think of this as a historical costume drama, but more like a classic wuxia with a few obvious flaws.

dun, its boring in the beginning i agree, but it gets better later esp when the ML start the journey, just watch…
Just drop it. Don't force it if it doesn't interest you.

My favorite characters so far:

- Xu Xiao
- God of Sword
- Chu ... (the fat foster kid who's actually claimed to be brutal)
- The future Master of Wudang
- and I'm saddened by the Lin/Lu guy.

What other dramas do you recommend in which there are better fight scenes? Thanks
I thought Ever Night had good action scenes. Also another one that was produced by Jackie Chan (forgot the name) recently (Yes, it's a costume drama). But if you really want good fight scenes, they all belong to HK films in the 90s.

For those who don't like the FL, it's the author that created this character. The FL's acting is fine.

I prefer good acting and definitely real voices, than beauty and dubbing.

The only gripe I have about this show is the slow-mo action, which kind of reminds me of heavenly sword and dragon flying sabre. Holy crap, the slow-mo is like in every action scene in that drama.

Im heartbroken 1 episode a night was a bad decision on TENCENT\WETV part. What happened guys? Why did they suddenly…
Maybe for consistency as most people get off work and only have time to watch one episode per night. If the data supports this, then it makes sense they would release once a day.

The favorite foster kid is currently typing this sentence, though he's not as outstanding as Chen Zhi Pao or the…
I feel hurt...I'm going to jump from a 2 feet cliff... and come back better in season 2!
