Positives: - Good Wuxia Action HK-Style. One of the best choreographs since ever night. - I've only see FL in modern series, but I really think she suits really well in wuxia/xianxia with simple ponytail hairstyle while still looking pretty and elegant. - Production value is very good. - All characters are played well. - Fast-paced.
Negatives: - It's dubbed. - Some people can't live without money or love. Chinese people can't live without dubbing! LOL
Edit: It's dubbed. They might use their own voice but it's redubbed over the studio rather than real live. A lot of the voice actors have generic tones and voices, and they often can never portray the actor's emotional state of mind in particular scenes. The worst ones can't even synchronize with the actor's speech.
I wouldn't be surprised if this drama brings good tourism to Yun Miao. I, myself, want to visit this place.
I think the place is already popular. My friend in China said the sceneries from the show could be in Dali or Shangri-la, popular destinations among Chinese people.
I've watched two episodes of this. It's good but not my cup of tea.
I can tell Daylight entertainment is trying to gain a favor from the Chinese censorship management department (not necessarily the government) by producing this series. But at least, you get to see a realistic view from the gov'ts approach to solve problems and the greedy citizens (the real drama queens).
Actually this drama just need a younger candie oppa, then people would've loved it ( Internationally)
My bad! I'm quite dense. I just think drama is very solid so far, but who knows? It can go on a downturn later on or stay solid for the rest of the series.
I just watched the first two episodes, and so far, this is a quality drama!
It won't be popular because it depicts life situation around the business industry rather than fictional romance, bromance, or other dramas that don't happen in real life.
I just watched the performance clips. I think this season was solid, but I felt the previous seasons had better song selections, singers, dancers, and beauties.
I'm enjoying this show quite a bit. Up to ep. 10 but will hold off till the end of season 1 to binge-watch.
While I was trying to find more OST's for this show, I found a BTS clip. Lou Yao in this show is timid and passive, but in real life he looks like a fun dude. The director seems fun as well! LOL.
The quality of acting is top notch, the costumes , styling, and settings look very authentic to that era of time. I can't say the script is bad or good, because in general, the Chinese writers always have a hard time explaining with clarity.
But in this case, you need to have at least a general knowledge of the three kingdoms story and the leading heroes of that time, and you might have a better grasp than ordinary viewers. Episode 1 introduced too many characters and information, which is actually quite normal for many Chinese historical shows, I'm just surprised the scriptwriters are unable to change their style till this day.
I've watched two episodes so far, and I like it. Nothing great, but nothing bad. Everything is super solid! I thought I would hate the dubs (I still kinda do) but this one is acceptable. The action scenes are very good.
This is the prettiest Zhao Lusi I've seen in all her dramas!

I'm on episode 5, but why do I get the feeling that Angelababy is Zhulong????
