Hilarious and kissing moments
First half of the drama was focused on introduction to characters and e-sports which I like.My favourite part is the second half of the series when the ML played by Xu Kai has made his relationship with FL public. There were plenty of lovey-dovey moments which show great chemistry between ML and FL. They had to face strong reactions from the fans who were jealous of such relationship, which is normal in real life but still unpleasant. I feel anxious for the couple.
There were plenty of funny banters amongst the teams which I also love, especially when they started to be suspicious of the relationship between their captain and their female team member. The incident in their gym was so funny that I was laughing out loud until I had tears in my eyes.
Xu Kai is my favourite actor. He is so dreamy! His kissing scenes were super delicious ☺️ he played this role very well, and I suppose that’s a credit to the screenwriters as well.
The FL is super cute. She was not clingy which is a great bonus and has made it easier to watch. She showed strong character despite her young age. She was actually the strength and super glue for the team that held the team together in challenging times.
The ending seemed a bit rush. I was hoping to see the ML and FL tying up the knot, but am still quite happy of where they got to in their relationship and career.
Overall, this drama is quite entertaining from beginning to end. With 31 episodes, I managed to finish watching it in 3 days, it would have been sooner if I didn’t have to work during the day 🙂Unlike some dramas where I had to stop watching because of bad storyline or acting, I highly recommend you watch Falling into your smile.

Heartbroken from too many lies
How can love survive when there are too many lies?Overall, the acting from all casts was very good and that’s the only reason I have managed to watch this drama up to episode 30.
I was engrossed in the so called love between the leads and I must say I have had such high hopes for their love to survive and have a happy ending after all the traumatic experiences!
However, in reality, deep in my heart I also know that it’s not meant to be… so very sad 😢 I had a feeling that it would not end well, so decided to read some reviews. Finally, my sentimental side stopped me from finishing this drama. He confessed that Qiu Jia Ning was the only one he had ever loved in this lifetime, and yet to learn that he had a love child with his ex girlfriend was unexpected and disappointing! For some people, watching a movie or drama is a way of escaping reality in life, so a sad ending especially when it comes to LOVE is too much for my heart to bear. So I have stopped watching this drama to the end.
I first watched Luo Yun Xi in Love Is Sweet, and fell in love with his acting then. It’s no exception in this drama, Broker. His look and demeanour are superb for this role. The expressions he portrayed were enough to convey the feelings and emotions without words. So I was keen to watch more modern dramas where he was the leading man. However from my research, most modern dramas where he was the lead didn’t have a happy ending either. Oh well…
I don’t remember ever seeing Victoria Song before but her acting as a high IQ but low EQ scientist is relatable and endearing. Her dedication to her research work is admirable. Although it can be seen as her being too stubborn or arrogant when she refused to get back with Xiao Shan after they first broke up (and being lied to), I can understand and respect her decision. To me it portrays self respect and dignity, and trust is the foundation of any relationship. Once it’s broken, it’s truly hard to forget, although it’s possible to forgive for your own sake.
Overall, this drama has a lot of potential but the sad ending is not something I enjoy or look for.

Leading actor Arthur Chen
Such intense gaze from ML Arthur Chen, making my heart fluttered each time 🙂This reminds me of another ML in Amidst a snowstorm of love played by Leo Wu. I love the chemistry shown by ML and FL in that drama but not so much in Lighter and Princess, possibly because at times the emotions shown by actress Zhang Jingyi are not so believable. Having said that, they’re still young and have lots of potentials.
I am still half way through and am not sure if I should finish watching it. I might continue just to watch how the relationship progresses between the leading roles when they reconnect and continue to admire the gaze from our leading man!

A beautiful and realistic portrayal of life
This is one of the rarest dramas that got me hooked from beginning to end. It is well written and the acting is top notch.FL and ML - I love watching Esther Yu in all of her modern dramas that I have seen. In this drama, her characters were similar to my own and her struggles with the treatment she received growing up due to her and other people perception of what “beauty” is has made her who she was as an adult. She worked hard to obtain her scholastic achievement to perhaps make up for her perceived lack of beauty (as is in my case). She was doubtful of the intentions of the ML and couldn’t face the world without having her makeup on. Ditto! However, she’s very brave and kind hearted and was able to fall back on her intelligence to bounce back after a break up! I can totally relate to all her experiences in life.
ML - it’s the first time I have seen Vin Zhang as a male lead. Oh my… his good look and acting was one of the best. I found myself smiling every time I watched him and Esther doing their antics as a couple. Some people commented that there were not enough kissing scenes between them. That’s true however the subtle changes in his behaviour towards female lead and his facial expressions truly showed how much he cared for her. When they finally did kiss, it was sizzling hot!
Best scene - when the ML described what beauty is in relation to what he has seen in Yu Mei Ren. WOW!!! The script was written by someone who understands what true beauty is! So deep… and I’m impressed and inspired.
Not so good - too much focus on the second couple. I found myself skipping most of their scenes. However there was something to learn from what they have faced as a couple. In addition, I found the part where the ML simply left the country without telling the FL was infuriating. Yes, they had not declared their relationship, but surely there was enough feelings to merit better communication to stop any misunderstanding!
I highly recommend you watch this drama for its beautiful script and acting by the main couple who I think are suited for each other 🙂 I love the songs too even though I don’t speak the language.
If you have any recommendations on something similar to A romance in the little forest, please let me know. Thanks.

Beautiful story
I have seen a lot of modern dramas but this is the most recent one. I was engrossed with the life story depicted by lead roles and how they went through challenges in their lives. I could relate to their life journey as if I was there with them. Good acting throughout. Of all the dramas I have seen, I must say that this drama affected me the most emotionally, causing me to cry/sob just thinking about it especially the epilogue. Last scene where the “forgiveness” card was held by the husband was tragic but so meaningful! I am touched…Was this review helpful to you?
