Ysx has a solid fanbase as well as has tons of haters, most of her dramas internationally have low ratings, that doesn't mean they're avarage or something. People hate for weird reasons,we can't do anything about it:( Why don't you just give it a try and see for yourself if this drama is really your type or not
I liked the way they changed the beginning part: the cause that led her to go to the mountains is appropriate(it wasn't clear in the novel).... Wei Zhi isn't just having fun there, her struggles to learn skiing are meaningful now

No the ml never hurt her but he hid an important thing(he lost one of his legs in a car accident) from her and asked her to break up with him. Then he intentionally stayed away from her for a long time
Tbf i didn't like the character mumu while reading the novel and in some parts I'm agree with comments down below that she's a picky eater, hasn't decided her goal in life, sometimes a bit childish, expecting love and attention from her parents and bro etc. but I do not agree with "Jiang Mu's life has no real impact on the story." Because it's not true The age she was shown that time was difficult in everyone's life. She is a 18 yo girl, what do you expect her to behave around her family? She hasn't faced troubles that jin chao has faced so she's a lil naive and curious. She got suspicious when her brother started hiding things and went to investigate with her friend. When her puppy was kidnapped she went around looking for it everywhere and found him with her own effort. When jin chao's car was about to crash she rushed all the way up to give him a sign to get out. Also she was a perfect navigator during racing. Her mom was ill so she had to return to her mom, so it wasn't her fault to leave the injured bf alone. It was his idea to break up with her in the first place. Hiding this trivial matter to his gf is so wrong. It may seem heroic to some but it's actually cruel. When she tied to reach him again, he changed his phone number and asked everyone not to give her his current address. That's why she couldn't find him for a long time. If the drama showcases all these good points I'd be happy.

Why are some international fans of this novel behaving like its guardian suddenly? It's a good thing that you've read the novel, also good to think about your favourite artists as the lead characters while reading it. But pushing your thoughts and opinions in the comment section is foolish and not cool bro……. The way you're saying, ‘not this actor’, ‘anyone but that actress’, please, begging you don't do that.
