That's unusual. I live between the US and South Korea.
I can use netflix, amazon prime, viki, MGTV and Metv when I am in Korea They all detect my region as Korea and only let me see what allowed there there unless I turn on my VPN and set it to the US.

I love Viki subs, they are usually the best but the delayed viewing has me considering dropping my subscription. They use to be the first place to get dramas but then all these networks decided to cut out the middle man and moved to releasing dramas on their own networks. Viki couldn't compete. I am not sure what is up with WETV not working with my VPN. It's never happened before.
I'm hoping I can watch TH's episodes on kisskh.me or dramacool. Dramacool usually will upload them, but they can be a bit slow.

It doesn't stop the netizens from going on full-fledged attack mode.

I don't find the male lead identical to the novel. He feels a little softer around the edges IMO. I think he will be more toned down, plus china regulates a lot of its content for TV.
AND... the FL is older by 3 years, seems a bit more self-confident than in the novel.
