You have got to be kidding me - this drama is so much better than this 7.9 rating !
I have been noticing for a while that many toxic fans have entered cdrama community where they specifically come to MDL and other websites to lower the ratings or drag actors.
I haven’t read the novel, but judging from the trailers and clips, it seems likely that the FL will eventually wake up from a coma. There was a modern-day scene in the trailer showing her with a white bandage on her head, leaning towards the ML, who was dressed in modern clothes. This suggests that, to satisfy censorship, the drama might frame all the events in the cultivation world as experiences she had while unconscious. There was also a scene of the ML and FL together under a tree in modern attire, hinting at a bittersweet or open ended conclusion where their love transcends realms and lifetimes. Honestly, ever since stricter censorship rules came in, dramas haven’t felt the same. Directors are often forced to insert awkward modern-era sequences to justify the story, which sometimes takes away from the original fantasy charm. I know these rules were introduced because some people were taking transmigration storylines too literally even to the point where underage children were experimenting with it in real life but instead of altering plots so heavily, maybe they could just add a strong disclaimer or audio note at the start of each drama or maybe a age restriction should be provided?
Episode 2 was solid finally got a glimpse into Khem and Peem’s past lives, which added some much needed depth. Hoping the series keeps this momentum without slipping into cringy territory. Domundi Production has good production quality tbh. We really don’t need the forced shipping nonsense actors are perfectly capable of delivering great performances without being boxed into fan service dynamics. Let the acting and storytelling take center stage. Emotional nuance, character growth, and plot integrity should be the priority not gimmicks. If they stick to that, this series could genuinely stand out.
The ratings shouldn’t be this low. For the past year, we haven’t seen any truly good storylines in thai bl dramas. Now that we finally get something with a fresh and interesting genre, ppl spreading hate. Atleast watch the episodes . People are quick to give high ratings to BLs with recycled plots, bad pacing, and flat characters but when we finally get a drama with a decent storyline and effort put into it, suddenly the expectations are impossibly high. We can’t keep complaining to directors or channels about repetitive or lazy writing if we don’t even appreciate it when they try something different. If we don’t give them positive feedback, they’ll just assume the audience only wants the same old cringy tropes, forced clichés, and predictable romance arcs lol
Honestly, it's a good series I'd say one of the decent thai bl drama this year. At least we're seeing thai bls branching out into new genres beyond the usual doctor engineer trope. The VFX and sound design are impressive, adding depth to the horror elements. I think the acting, especially by Keng, is quite decent. His portrayal of a cold, stoic shaman fits well with his character's persona. The storyline is intriguing. Talking about ep 1 I suspect the ML’s father, who became a monk, can see his wife's spirit. And the friend who heard a woman’s voice urging him to help Khem maybe that was Khem’s mother? I do feel sad for Khem. He lost his mother, and his father chose a monastic life. Overall, I’d say give it a 9/10 watch. The horror elements are compelling, and it’s refreshing to see thai bls exploring darker, more supernatural themes.
Liu Yu Ning truly is a phenomenal actor. I was literally in tears watching the depth of trauma his character went through. The Qiao family needs to be redeemed. I really wish they hadn't killed off the grandfather’s character the male lead deserved to witness his regret and guilt.
This drama is prefect, but The investigation arc is just so bland , ML needs to be cautious and careful, when…
The chairwoman has cctv cameras and ml doesn't even know lol she’s outsmarting everyone with that eerily calm demeanor 🙂. ML needs to step up his game because at this rate, she’s going to play him instead of the other way around. I need more tension, more smart moves, and way less of him just casually walking into danger like he has nine lives.
Seriously, this drama deserves way more attention. The blend of action, comedy, and romance is just chef’s kiss. Comment section is very dull 😭 I am disappointed that this drama didn't got the promotion 🥲
Can we appreciate how FL is actually hilarious and cute 😭😭? But these writers? Ugh, they’re seriously so lame sometimes. They have this gem of an FL, and what do they do? Drag us through yet another childhood past. Like, ENOUGH. We get it. And the worst part? They’re acting like this big childhood reveal is supposed to shock us. Lmao 🤣🤣, we knew from episode one. They always do this—slow burn mystery that isn’t even mysterious. Give FL some actual plot progression instead of forcing her into predictable sob-story flashbacks every five minutes. I’m begging. 😭
That chairwoman? Certified psycho. The way she carries herself just screams “I have skeletons in my closet,” and not the metaphorical kind. I wouldn’t be shocked if those creepy stories Dong Min told Hae Seong are about her. Like, imagine she’s the one who killed those girls?
Whoever designed Ao Rui Peng’s costumes deserves all the praise! The craftsmanship, the elegance, and the attention to detail are absolutely top-notch.
Ao Rui Peng’s visuals are truly a feast for the eyes. The intricate hairstyles are so unique and captivating—I’ve never seen anything like them before. And the costumes? Absolutely breathtaking, with every detail oozing elegance and charm.
