Le sigh, our favorite Emperor finally went ahead and did it. He disappointed me, with his soft handed decision (CP ๐ง that you??). I get that it's out of respect for the Yue clan and especially Consort Yue, but it's still messed up. Marquis Yue has done soooo much f$cked up sh!t! Demote him to be a commoner and take away his properties and All his money!
But I understand sigh... the Yue family is still connected to the royal family with marriages and sacrificed themselves for him ๐ฉ. Wendy was kinda in a rock and hard place because he didn't want to be the bad guy. I'm still disappointed though. I am consoled though, only by Consort Yue's badassery and her not being held back by familial ties. What's wrong is wrong and she said it and meant it as such.
Wendy's decision though, has basically forced Zisheng's hand with his future decisions when he finally finds the culprit and the truth.
I know 5th Prince and Shaoshang just agreed to be friends but I really want Shaoshang to be bff's with 3rd Prince because their banter would be top tier "You need to learn more" ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Ok, I got a rant!! I'm rewatching ep 37 and subs are finally available on Viki and because I'm seeing a lot of comments about people being upset that Zisheng is forcing Shaoshang to change (ep. 38)... Shaoshang says the same sh!t every episode and today is when it aggravated me to no end today, "I've always been like this." Ok, this is who you are, but it doesn't mean you're correct in acting this way... It's not the vindictive side that's the issue, it's the acting alone part and holding it in on her own is what's the most frustrating!!
Alright Miss Independent Cheng Shaoshang, I get it, I understand le sigh... she's been left alone and had to fend for herself and get revenge for herself for so long. But you now have someone there who has proven they have your back, why not TRY to rely upon him first and see what he'll do before you act alone. The most frustrating part is she doesn't give Zisheng a chance to show that he's got her back before she has hers!
