Honestly still watching this now just because of SeaKeen and JavaSurf. The story is moving so slow and nothing significant happened in the last 3 episodes. The problem is even the cutesy moments of SeaKeen is not enough to salvage the last few episodes. We are already 2/3 of the series I feel like the material they have is thin and they are just stretching things out to fulfill the 12episode order.
true. the whole competition taking more than 1 hour episode and going over a week between release is just like…
exactly. I really thought the competition should have started at epsiode 7. An episode for the pot, a couple of episode for the chili powder that the Joseon cook didnt even use. The worst is when they cut the competion on a Sunday.
i feel like a lot of the blame should be put on Ma Dong Seok's shoulder as he is also the screenwriter (and probably one of the producers) of this show. He is ruining his reputation by doing the same character in different series/movies. Has anyone even seen his last movie - Holy Night: Demon Hunters?
Its like he cant do anything but punch. in some cases that may be adorable but it gets tiring. One trick-pony.
ok a lot of people will hate me for saying this but why is the cutest cast member supposed to be the killer, and he is supposed to be really inlove with the first victim which i reaally cant grasp why...
ok here are some thoughts - the series was beautifully done at the beginning - the first 3 or 4 episodes was a fresh updated take on teenage BL love. Then when that episode where there is a big soccer event in the school i started having doubts. From a very fast paced show, it started to crawl with too many repetitive scenes and music video scenes and just a few arcs just to say the story is moving forward.
And then that Aim reveal happened. For me it was just lazy writing to justify the 2 main characters' love story. For me it was an easy way out - because Phun doesnt have to break Aim's heart (just like how Noh didnt have to struggle parting ways with Yuri). Then everybody at school was so forgiving and supportive of a same sex relationship. This new version lost the strongest reason why the original Love Sick was loved and treasured - the original was a story of 2 seemingly straight boys becoming confused with their newfound feelings and their journey to find and accept their true selves even if the world is against it.
What we have now is Phun acting like a teenage spoiled brat who always get what he wants. He doesnt want Noh to be happy with other people but he also pretends lke he likes Aim too much and is affected by their breakup.
Right now, i dont think it deserves to have a rating higher than the original version. I hope the next few episodes i will be proven wrong and that the show will save itself from being a total mess.
im just glad they spent the latest 2 episodes while the 3 are still in high school, it gave more time to develop the family dynamics of our 3 kids and their 2 dads although it looks like the time jump will happen in the next 2 episodes.
Wow calling her a bitch, 2ML shipper has shown their true colors
like i said i wasnt shipping the FL to anyone, in fact i prefered the ending for her to be single. Yes i consider her a b*tch for smiting 3 guys at the same time - intentionally or not, even as HyeRi who was supposed to be really shy and keeps to herself cant keep herhands to herself. This is an absolute fabolous performance from SHS as always, but that doesnt lessen her character's b*tch*ness and the character's need to be loved by men.
What the f are they gonna do in the next 2 episode when its clear that this crazy ass obsessed b*tch will always choose the one who keeps hurting her. Right now all she is is an attention seeking masochist. I get that her connection with Hyeon O spans years/decade but she is sad because she is choosing to be hurt.
I also get that what she had with Ju-Yeon is something that she shared with him as HyeRi and not as EunHo, and it will be equally wrong to choose him because it will seem like she chose him for the wrong reasons and because she as Eun Ho doesnt really feel anything for him. Ju Yeon deserves to much better.
The only way to redeem this show is if she, as Eun Ho learns to accept herself for herself without needing any man, and that she can be happy even without Hyeon O. Otherwise, if they really end up together it will just be a continuous sh"tshow forher.
Guys can you tell me how is Kim Jae Young getting more handsome as he age? I never really noticed and liked him before but here he looked so good even in his sad moments.
Park Shin Hye is also amazing and is showing us why she rules Kdramaland. This is so different from all her roles before and she is killing it!
Actually this is simply a sequel, we get to see how they started and developed feelings, the continuation of there…
@tangoecho exactly! the movie version is getting a lot of positive feedback but it actually just bored me knowing they wouldnt really end up together. Why why oh why would they need to tell us this story if they wouldnt end up together anyway. It feels like an incomplete project.
hi thanks for reading and commenting! Dont get me wrong, i did finish the series and watched it weekly thats why…
my goodness that was deep. I was wondering why i cant latch on to the main FL while watchign hte show, i think you pointed out the weakness of the character.
I loved the show compared to Cooking Crush but will not give it a 9. You are far too generous to this show. Something is really off with how they handled Ryan-Jane relationship here.
