The synopsis above is from the orginal novel. But the drama made major change to the story. The novel start with the reincarnate main characters and tell their previous life in heaven later, but the drama start with their life in heaven first. Right now they don't start the reincarnation arc yet.

My wild guess: Yandan saw when Yingyuan visit Zhixi and disappointed but not to the point she wants to jump from the void bridge desperately. But later Yandan was framed by Zhixi and imprisoned (I saw the clip she has an argument with her sister in prison). Because she doesn't want to admit the crime she has never done, she running away from the prison. And because there is no place to escape/hide in heavenly realm, she has no other choice but jumping from the void bridge. Later Yingyuan follow her jumping from the bridge because he doesn't want to lose her. But they don't go down to mortal realm directly, they go to wangchuan first. Something happened there and later he sent her to reincarnate himself (as shown in the MV he sent her body to wangchuan river). And then welcome to the mortal arc.
