Putting aside the whole "plenty of girls to marry, why boys" bullshit...I could totally understand Qian remaining blissfully unaware because for all intents & purposes, Yuan IS his brother. With that said, I could also understand Qian saying no effing way because he has raised Yuan AS his brother. I could without a doubt also understand him not only being uncomfortable & even baffled by this revelation but if he chose in the end to just say no, it would make sense to me.
I didn't read the novel & am not interested in spoilers but if this ended without them together, at this point given what we have been shown, I wouldn't be surprised & I would totally get it. It's not as if I'm not rooting for them but this is a different kind of love that Qian would have to recognize in himself & some times...it just ain't there LOL.
