I'll agree that the mom is right with the caretaker & boyfriend being different things entirely...this, BTW, is the ONLY thing I will back her on. The rest of her...not so much.
With that all said, what is the rush exactly? OK so they both need to stand on their own two feet. Is that not something that can be done while living separately but together in a relationship? The quick decision break up was a juvenile, selfish reaction leaving little room for conversation & little to no justification as far as I am concerned.

I would feel that a conversation was in order before drastic action was taken...that's called maturity, BTW.

Yes...I do find it insulting. IMO the reason for the breakup was unjustified &, as usual, a knee jerk reaction. For me, it's about them taking care of themselves & doing what's best for them individually. My husband does not "take care" of me...I take of myself...it's called maturity. Since the jump, Day has lacked maturity, especially in comparison to Mhok who has been taking care of himself for a long time.
This was written beautifully & it wasn't lacking depth or intelligence so I expected that over the 12 episodes we would see Day grow into a mature adult that COULD take care of himself. His go-to when times get too much is to break up. He's gotten nowhere IMO.

It's not & that right there is the bullshit. Beautifully written, actors...unbelievable...& then this is thrown in...it's a true slap in the face really & I'm over it.

While I realize that it IS the curse of the 11th episode, I really thought that this show was above others by leaps & bounds & had absolutely NO reason to become part of the statistic. Day's behavior warrants the hate & disappointment because we have all backed his ability to take care of himself but clearly he remains a child while Mhok continues to be the grown up.
