Don't we all look back at things, especially maybe with our siblings, & think that you could have done things differently? Maybe change a reaction or two, or been nicer that time, or drove them home earlier. It really seemed that until Non said something to him about New not caring about him, New truly never noticed before.
Maybe New doing all of this is exactly like you said & it is because of him feeling guilty over the way he treated his younger brother. I don't know if that makes him a bad guy or someone that doesn't deserve our sympathy. This kid put his entire future on the line, lied to his parents, & experimented hallucinogens on himself all in the hopes that he could find out what really happened to his brother. I count him in as a good guy I guess. In comparison to these shitheads, he's a saint LOL.
The parents totally deserve the majority of the shit for sure but New was still just a kid too.

IMO, OffGun took roles that were good enough for them 5 + years ago & maybe taking a step down to simpler work was what they wanted but it will make me think twice about whether or not I want to waste my time watching their next project together.
