This felt like a BL fever dream. Only the first 4 episodes had a semblance of a storyline/ logical timeline.

He was poisoned the 1st time before he met the rival, Sam, or Charlie. That was when he first came back.

I think finding out that Sam was a huge fan of Charlie from the get-go also sent him reeling. Who knows how long they were hooking up for!

I THINK the whole point of it was to show his powers are weakening and he is turning more human. Nakan even mentioned it before the fight. He said he used to use his brain more before he got a taste of the golden blood. Like how he can dream now and that his sense of smell is getting better
