This had so much potential. In EP 16 it simply goes downhill, it doesn't even feel like the drama it started as. AND THE ML LOSES HIS CURLY HAIR!! I didn't even care about it at the beggining, but then they just took it from me like that? Anyway, I really enjoyed the first 15 episodes, I was very excited and there were many good storylines, but then they ruined it. I dropped it on EP 17 so I don't know if it gets better but I checked EP 31 and it was even worse, so...
i couldn't go pass the first 4 episodes. i feel like this drama doesn't take itself seriously. in the first episode (so this is not spoiler) they show a rape case and the rapist is one of villians and i feel like they make it appear normal?? this character frequenly interacts with the ML and the ML acts like he's completly OK with it? like i will laugh with you and yes you are the worst but who cares, i want your money, it's like nothing happened. this same ML shows "heroic" emotions sometimes but not for this girl who was hurt? and then they try to make you feel pity for the rapist? i couldn't stand it.
how was that meaningless???????? it certainly held a huge meaning behind it. It simply meant that nothing is worth…
it had moments where it was going there, and i was like yes! but then it went back to "look how you are making people suffer". especially in the last episode, his main realization was that he had to live because he owed it to his mom. i think they could've done a better job. i do get the "there's only one you in this world" but the message could've been better presented. every life could've taught him something, but they didn't. and yes! so all of them are still going to die? even the high school kid? very pointless.

see ansa's comment above. i was waiting for something to make him realize he could continue living for HIMSELF, but no. i just kept asking myself "ok but he's lucky he has a good girlfriend and a nice mom, what about those that have nothing?" what was the message for them? just die? because you have no one to live for? i understand this is to prevent suicide, but it's just not good enough.
they could have added that things get better, everything goes, that you need to look for happiness and that is a conscious effort. Idk, to take one step at a time, to appreciate the beauty is on the small things like eating your favorite ice cream or seeing a kid laughing with his mom, or who knows, there are many books about this. that's why I said this lacked meaning, they just focused on one aspect that had nothing to do with him as a person.
hi sorry for the late reply. you may like once again, my father is strange and ojakgyo brothers (this one is older) in that order. I haven't found any drama with this amount of kids tho :( hoping they make one soon.
I just finished rewatching this. I still love it so much :( May be my favorite family K-Drama ever. The development for all charachters is so good. At times some of them were so annoying, but at the end all are good people with flaws, just like in real life. I specially like the focus on the kids during the last episodes + the relationships that were created due to this.
so this was cute. just two things: why was there no justice at all. why did woojae end up with haeri that an awful couple. and there was no need to make Geum Hee like that at the end, not after everything they've been trought.
Family names. I think only Ida's friends call him by his first name
Yes, there are 3 layers!
For strangers or people you are not close with you use lastname-san; then, if you are friends or close, you can use lastname-chan for girls and -kun for boys, or just last name; and if you are very close friends or family then the first name is good.

I know right? But it is a cultural thing. I think it was because they had just started talking that year or maybe they like being called by their last names because even Aida called Aoki, Aoki.
This was adorable! The story and the characters were really good and I liked that they explored the side love story as well. Also YES almost no misunderstandings. I will probably rewatch this when I am sad. Aoki is just so funny and cute and the whole drama is pretty wholesome with some amazing fluffy moments.
sooooooo he made her get an abortion. idk about y'all but i can't really pretend he's a nice person after that.
edit: if she had agreed with the abortion i wouldn't really care, but as i see it, he forced and manipulated her to do it so idk idk i don't like this situation

-chan can also be used for kids. You can read more about it here: https://www.busuu.com/en/japanese/honorifics :)
