The fact that you thought another actor was more suitable is not offensive to someone who appreciates this actor, but the fact that you wrote another name. Don't be offended; it's just my opinion. I like both actors equally, but I don't like to see someone belittle the qualities of an actor just because they think someone else is more suitable for the role (from their point of view).

Such a scu*bag probably went unpunished for so long because of the political support he had, and which he has now lost.
