It wasn't what I expected but..

A romcom in every sense but one that feels weak in some episodes. The chemistry between Somin and Wooshik is amazing and it was what made me keep watching along with the second couple whose potential was completely wasted. However, at times the writing seems to fall off, the conflicts don't feel like a big deal and Meri's ex's character is simply terrible to the point of overshadowing certain episodes.
My final thought is that it's just another silly and fun romcom that you can enjoy without any problems and nothing else which is exactly what some people want

Another cast wasted by the writers

This drama started strong with its first two episodes but it began to decline from then on and I think it’s all the writers’ fault. Many unnecessary plots and cliches like the love triangle and the memory loss in the last episode were completely unnecessary, as was the scene where Godarim is slapped by the CEO (?).
Also, while I loved Godarim’s character, her inability to read the room when it came to her friend and Jihyeok was simply frustrating as was Seonu’s character. It’s another rom-com that starts well but the writers falter as the episodes progress.
However, it wasn’t all bad. The acting was good, as was the OST and the chemistry between the leads is incredible but wasted. As a rom-com fan, I enjoyed it and it was really fun but there were several moments where I wanted to drop it because I really didn’t understand where they were going with the story.
I think it’s a good drama to pass the time if you don’t have too many expectations like I did but as I always say, it’s just my opinion. I definitely think you should watch it and give it a chance.

maybe I'll get jumped for this but...

Okay so what can I say about Typhoon Family? for me, it's one of the best dramas of the year. It gave me everything I look for in a drama and nothing felt really forced. If I had to say something negative, it would be that changing the antagonist in the last episodes felt a bit off. Hyeonjun had been just an annoying, meddlesome guy, and suddenly he became the main enemy of the series only to mess everything up. I would have preferred that role to remain with his father and nothing else.

And it's true that the dynamics in the episodes were almost always the same and predictable; you knew that every time they tried to sell something they were going to run into problems but they would always solve them because that's just how it works. Still, it was fun and entertaining to watch

Also, I would have liked to see more interaction between Taepoong and his mother and how they deal with the situation as mother and son.

My biggest highlights are obviously the romance between Taepoong and Miseon, their chemistry is insane, it feels super natural, and it flows really well, even though the main plot isn't romance. Their moments were just right and really well done.

Another highlight is the character development in this series, especially Majin, who started out as a complete idiot who belittled Miseon just for being a woman and Taepoong as a CEO just because he was young, but all that changed over time, and he ends up being the one who loves and trusts them the most.

For me, this drama was just perfect although my opinion might change over time but for now, it's a 8/10

Different from what I expected...

Don't get me wrong, the drama is good. I just went in expecting a different kind of story, one where you don't know who committed the crime or who's involved until the very end. Instead, it focuses more on just telling the story of a crime where doubts and suspects introduced in one episode are resolved in the next. Because of that, I sometimes feel like nothing major will happen.
I did like the way they chose to tell the story. I know it can be a bit confusing at times due to the number of names and timelines but it never drags or becomes boring. It's actually quite entertaining if you enjoy this type of drama. The cast and acting were solid and that's definitely one of the drama's strongest points.
As I said, it wasn't exactly what I expected but I still enjoyed it. I think it's worth giving it a try and seeing for yourself.

Just rewatched it for the first time and…

This is the kind of drama that makes you feel every emotion while you try to understand every character’s point of view, where everyone is right but wrong at the same time. At the end of the day, you know everyone’s just trying to be happy and make life easier. I love the way they decided to tell this story and how they touched on topics that aren’t usual in kdramas and made them work. I love stories like this that talk about real issues in someone's life and still manage to make it fun to watch.

an overall very positive review

I finally finished this drama and it took me longer than I expected because it's the kind of drama you need to watch very carefully and attentively to enjoy every detail. This drama wasn't my most anticipated of the year but it ended up surprising me. I knew the chemistry between the leads would be good because I like them both, but I didn't expect everything else to be at the same level or to be able to keep up with them.
I must say, this drama is beautiful in every aspect, from the cinematography to the OST, and it's one of the few kdramas that hasn't disappointed me in terms of writing. Everything seems to fit together perfectly and nothing feels forced, especially when it comes to the languages.
I really didn't expect to enjoy this drama so much for some strange reason but I'm glad I was wrong. As I always say this is just my opinion, and I definitely think you should give it a chance and judge for yourself.

Just when I thought romcoms weren't romcoming anymore

Okay I'm going to get straight to the point: I love this drama. It's exactly what I look for in romcoms, funny, chaotic, absolutely unserious, and with great chemistry between the leads. It has the right level of drama and the resolutions were quick and well done, with no unnecessary plots. Of course it's not perfect and I know this kind of drama isn't for everyone, especially because of all the absurd situations it has but you should take it for what it is: a drama that's just there to make you happy and have a good time, nothing else. I truly enjoyed every episode until the end and this drama set the bar high for me in terms of romcoms. But as I always say, that's just my opinion and I definitely think you should give it a chance.
