Now everything is falling apart. It really feels like the drama has entered its dark side, and I’m not sure if we’ll ever get those peaceful days back.

She is trying to make him believe that they are happy with him so he lets his guard down and she can escape with the kids. That scene may seem hot, but only if they were lovers. From a woman's perspective, I believe that scene was a hard one , having to act like you are into someone just to escape death gives me chills.
