I really can’t with these comments. People are judging the camera angles and saying the actors looked immature in the kissing scene, but for me that was the most powerful scene so far. They weren’t acting like the usual perfect couple. You could feel their fear of losing each other while still holding on to their priorities. They were out of control, and that felt so real and beautiful ,showing jealousy, pain, and even ego. And I really can’t with the comments comparing it to Story of Kunning Palace and saying Zhang Linghe did it better. I’ve seen it, and honestly both actors are very good.

I would say the same. They were being vulnerable with each other and that made the scene even more beautiful. The ML knew he couldn’t escape his mission, but he also couldn’t lose her. He was completely out of control. And the FL, even though she loves him so profoundly, still protects her principles and ideals. I really loved when she told him he can’t just leave and kiss her whenever he wants. And then the scene when he walked like XieL, with no emotion on his face… I think the episode was very powerful.
Too much going on,too many generations, too many characters, too many plots, and too little romance. In the end it felt like a mess. MQ’s illness, which was supposed to be the main drama of the story, didn’t work for me. They tried to make it seem like he was dying,the physician was sure he wouldn’t make it,then suddenly he appears in the garden and he’s healed. I mostly watched the drama for the ZhYR. He’s such a good actor and I’m really looking forward to his future dramas

YZ is usually calm and very patient, but the scene where he punched the butcher in the face left me stunned and giggling at the same time. Zhang Linghe is perfect for these kinds of rolesðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜he is so tall and handsome, it reminds me of Xie Wei when he was angry 🥲

They do love each other, but her family and sect don’t approve of their relationship, so she left him for their sake. However, she didn’t really give up on him. Instead of returning to her village, she chose to investigate the Man in Black. I think she cares a lot about the ML, but she doesn’t want him to get involved in such dangerous situations.
