But SOTUS was really freaking predictable, too? I mean, it's a pretty boring show to be honest. I don't actually…
Totally agree. The special episode in "Our Skyy" was the best episode of the whole series and the only one in which I could actually see and feel some chemistry and emotions from the main leads. I loved that episode, but I admit that the series itself, as you have said, is just okay and pretty shallow, too. I enjoyed it a lot the first time I watched it because it was one of my first BLs, but now that I have more experience I can say it wasn't that great, especially if we look at this year's releases. BLs are getting better and better and soon the old great ones will become outdated and unsatisfying.
Wonderful director, I really like how TharnType was filmed and I'm actually impressed to discover that it was his first drama -- or at least one of his first works. Here you have a few examples of cinematographic choices I've appreciated in the 11th episode of TharnType: 1) the hand-held camera following Tharn and Type during their argument (it adds a lot of emotional momentum to an already dramatic scene) 2) the Dutch angle in the final shot of Lhong (it certainly highlights the character's mental instability)
I love Pete and Ae, but I remember that by the end of Love By Chance I was more concerned about Tin and Can, probably because their situation wasn't as stable as the main couple's and for some reason I grew very attached to Mean's character -- I really wanted him to finally find happiness. For these reasons I'm very happy that Tin and Can will be the main couple in season 2. It's sad that Saint won't be there, but at least Pete and Ae were happy together at the end of the first season, so they won't leave us hanging.
What an interesting article! And I loved how you tried to make the reader actively participate in your analysis. I did spend 2-3 minutes analysing the 3 shots of the girl before reading your considerations. Good job!
Surprised about his age....at first I saw him at kiss me again I thought he was 19 or 20 years old but turn out…
Same, I was shocked when I read it because he looks so much younger! Actually, it's not only his looks, but his personality, as well: he is bubbly and energetic, he likes to joke around and he gives the happy-go-lucky vibes. I guess his behaviour contributes to making him look younger ^^
I've only watched half of the first trailer because I didn't want to spoil the drama for me too much, but that was enough to make me excited. It seems SO nice! Plus, Off and Gun already have a great chemistry, so I can't wait to watch them in this.
so is no one gonna mention the gross kidnapping + sexual assault scene ?? not surprised since y'all nut over…
THANK YOU. I've been scrolling the comment section for a solid 10 minutes in search of someone who agreed with me. I don't want to offend anyone, but they all do look like nuts to me, as well. First, sexual assault is always a horrible act and you should NEVER ignore it or, even worse, accept it. Second, I had the impression that Bai Luo Yin wasn't "in love" with Gu Hai. It seemed he was just giving in to Gu Hai's arrassment. I've never though their interactions were cute or lovely, but rather forced and unnatural. Also, I couldn't feel the chemistry everyone is talking about in the comments.
