On He's Coming to Me Jan 28, 2020
[Disclaimer: this is my personal (unpopular) opinion, let's all be respectful]

With all the good comments and reviews that there are around, I'm starting to wonder if I've even watched the right show. Here is my apparently unpopular opinion:
1. Ohm and Singto don't have chemistry. I don't know how to explain this because chemistry can't be described, you either feel it or not. I didn't feel it in this drama. I didn't even understand how they developed feelings for each other. It seemed all so platonic to me that at a certain point I started hoping they would just stay good friends.
2. The acting wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as everyone is stating. Honestly, both Ohm and Singto seemed so stiff and out of place that I couldn't feel their emotions. That's probably why I couldn't see the chemistry either. I think the direction is to blame as well. I've watched a couple of behind the scenes and sometimes the actors seemed to be confused or to have misunderstood the instructions given to them.
3. The story was so-so. I've appreciated the attempt to add a thriller subplot -- instead of focusing on the romantic drama only -- and the original setting of the series was refreshing, but I didn't find the mystery that engaging and there were many parts that made me bored. I found myself wanting to skip some scenes and get to the end as soon as possible multiple times.

"We'll have to endure they remaking sotus for Tutor-Fighter".

If you are talking about the initiation scene, I suggest you read this thread: https://twitter.com/CandyOnnn/status/1220880595263213570. It's not inspired by Sotus, it's a common practice. I mean, the Sotus vibe is there, but I guess it can't be helped.

On HIStory3: Make Our Days Count Jan 26, 2020
MY KEY TO UNDERSTANDING THIS STORY:

Make Our Days Count can be seen as a collection of memories. After watching the last episode, which is set 5 years after the previous events, I looked back, saw the big picture and realized that this drama is like an undone puzzle: we are not given the whole story (we don't even get to see how Xiang Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu get closer before they start dating officially, or when Sun Bo Xiang starts having feelings for Lu Zhi Gang), but we are shown many little fragments of their lives and relationships instead. Sometimes there are some holes, but they are supposed to be there. If you think about it, that's exactly how memories work: when we are reminiscing about the past, we don't remember every single thing, but only the key moments, the turning points and some details. Our memories are always incomplete, rambling and vague, and since Make Our Days Count is about memories -- the fregmented pieces of a youth Xiang Hao Ting goes back to in the last episode --, those characteristics apply to this drama as well.

I'm glad I could get my point across. Also, you are absolutely right when you say that fetishizing gay relationships is unhealthy. The era of BLs could be described as a collective hysteria, but can I really condemn this behaviour when I'm enjoying these shows? Who am I to talk?

"Why do we need to call these bls? It's not like we call other stories GxB stories. It's 2020 already."

I get your point. You are trying to say that a love story is a love story, regardless of gender, and that a gay relationship shouldn't be treated differently from an heterosexual one. Am I right? If that's what you are trying to say, I'm going to reply to that. If not, then I'm sorry I've misunderstood.

I totally agree with you, but I also think that you are missing the point of BLs. Boys Love is a genre unto itself, based on certain tropes and rules that apply to the worlds created by the writers, but not to reality; in fact, BLs are very far from reality. I still remember the comment of a gay user who said he was shocked the first time he came across a BL because it didn't reflect reality at all. BLs are not trying to portray the LGBT+ community, in the end it's all about satisfying the romantic and sexual fantasies of its viewers. "Why R U?" is the perfect example for this: a fujoshi writes fanfictions about guys falling in love with each other and what she writes comes true. If this is not a fantasy, I don't know what it is. Plus, you need to consider that most of the time the main characters in BLs are not even gay and their attraction for another guy is regarded as a special exception to their usual tendencies. What I'm trying to say is that BLs and dramas with LGBT contents are two completely different things. It's true that love is love, but BLs are not just stories about love, they are not just romantic dramas. There's an entire web of commonplaces, characterizations and themes that you only find in BLs, so a distinction is needed, a name for it is needed. It's called "Boys Love", but it could have any other name.

P.S. BTW, I also can't stand how the sister is fantasizing about her own brother.

You are scaring me I still have to find the time to watch it xD btw what is wrong with BL and directors? Why they…
I actually really like the direction choices in TharnType. Also, I think Crossing the Line, Trapped and MODC from the History series were very well directed, too (especially MODC).

I'm not gonna watch it while it is airing.. I did for tharntype, dbk and uwma, it doesn't do well with my anxiety..…
Oh God, I feel you, I'm just like you. I always binge dramas, but I did an exception for TharnType because I was very excited. Well, I've almost regretted it. Waiting for every episode was a real torture. I won't even bother describing the anxiety, the worry, the obsession it caused. I won't do it ever again ><

Title Why R U? Spoiler
[Warning: this is my personal opinion.]

Episode 0 was a total disappointment. Not the episode per se, but what they showed in it:
1. The couple Tutor-Fighter was never convincing, neither in the trailer (those constant "You are gay" provocations and subsequent kisses are way too cringy for me) nor in the special episode (cringe aside, I can't see the chemistry between Saint and Zee, not even 1 inch).
2. As for Zon and Saifah, I'm very disappointed. I had high expectations because I liked them in all the trailers and clips I had seen before, but in episode 0 they showed something I really didn't want to see: a potential rape. I mean, from the clips in episode 0, it's pretty clear that Zon is against having sex with Saifah, but Saifah takes advantage of him anyway. The morning after Zon seems afraid of Saifah and mad at him and I don't think he's just being shy. However, I don't want to make assumptions and criticize the series before it even starts. We will see.
3. As MoonOverStar said, there are way too many characters. I don't know how they are going to pack everything in a few episodes.

I saw him in the Why R U trailer and I feel like he looks very similar to Jaylerr. Their names begin with 'J'…
OMG then I'm not the only one who thinks he looks like Jaylerr!

99.9% certain it will have. Line TV put English subs on the trailer. It would be very strange to go to the effort…
Yeah, they also add subs for all the other promotional videos on their Youtube channel (Why R U Going, the introduction of the cast and their characters...). They are clearly doing that for the international fanbase.

even though she's Korean she does look Thai. You can see the cultural differences between the 2 countries.
I know, right? She does look Thai! I've seen her in "Do you know who's single?" (รู้ไหมใครโสด) and thought she was Thai. I was surprised when the other guests told her she speaks Thai well even though she is Korean! :O

Guys, please, help me! I still haven't watched this series and I don't know what to do!
Should I watch season 1 or jump directly on season 2 and 3? I would like to watch season 1 because of Bas (he is such a cutie pie ><), but at the same time I don't want to waste my time and watch the same thing twice with different actors. And what if I get attached to the actors of the first season and can't watch the other two? What do you suggest that I do?

I still don't understand how they are going to do an entire drama with Tincan as the lead when their story is…
Maybe they are going to give more space to the other couples, as well? Or maybe they will just add more drama.
