Almost won me over and give a 9, but some of the scenes are just too stupid or uncalled for and spoilt it for me.... the courtship dragged on too long to make it a balance biographical recount.. i know I know.. It's only a dramatised version of the real account and everything is done so to make it more interesting..
This is definitely an Idol-Worshipping drama!! There is really no other reason for watching this drama and with such a high rating as well... Unbelievable!
Alright, YY’s acting is indeed great and it was definitely one of most heartbreaking scenes in the drama. BUT,…
Knowing the Chinese Drama audience are all tragic queens they love a good tragic ending to boot.. I have a feeling this drama will have a sad ending.. HOw sad? We shall have to wait to find out....
I thought the same then I rewatched the episode where Lanxi & Bai Fengxi learned/mastered the jade power and old…
Ya... now that you mentioned it... the red herring was there... what old taiyin realised why he had failed. I think I might have to binge-watch them again once they have finished airing it...
One big romance drama... everything else is just window dressings.... ML and FL acting are pretty good.. wish it could be more meaty.... not just love fluff....
By the way did anyone of you feel that how Yu stole the power from BFX was a bit too easy and simplistic? I find that it's a bit of a let down.. Zero effort on Yu .. so easy for such a powerful power? Oh well... that's just my thought.
I still don't know which state belong to which state or which emperor is king or whatever but I'm enjoying the…
Neither do I and all the Lords and Royals have the same surname, which complicates things even further..but its one hell of an entertaining show, almost if not better than Snow Sword Stride...
Not for silly individuals! (laughing out inwardly) In the last two or three years 90% of the Chinese drama seems…
AHHAHAHA Well said and pointed out!! Netflix has become a background noise for me.. isn't that sad... Its like the world is running out of talents! Even Korean dramas are running out of steam, repeating same premise with different twists...
I always like Yang Yang, when he is good he delivers. One of the very few XBL that can really act. Zhou Lusi on the other hand is a touch and go, as she is still young and only time will tell, and this time her acting skills tell, she shines. I entered this drama like most of the Chinese Dramas these days, with little expectations. LOW and BEHOLD, it not only did not disappoint, but it is actually very good, way above my expectation! The chemistry between the two leads is great, there are no overbearing romance and in fact just the right dosage, befitting a real Wuxi drama. The fighting scenes is one of the very best of recent Wuxia dramas, as there are very little slow mo, if not none, and the the sword fighting scenes were fast moving, and that's how it should be and it makes it so much more exciting, unlike most.
As there are only 12 episodes released so far, and we are just over a quarter of the way through, the rest remains to be seen. Judging from the trailers and if they deliver the story at the consistent pace with a good tight well delivered ending it would be more than great!!! Hope it won't let us down.
