Good question.... When did they start dating.. I suppose for the current era it would have to be when she moved into his house? The actual moment is not clear. The ending was he regained his human form but lost his memories and his power and somehow resumed their courtship all over again and only several centuries of cultivation will he be able to regain his power. It's an ending begging for a season 2, but there is none.... slightly disappointing. I am not sure if that helps.

Actually the plot in this series is not that bad, recently I have seen another which is worst, with scenerios full of holes.

Johnny Huang is such a talented actor, as he has demonstrated his wide range of acting skills. I can see a fast rising star here. I wonder when will he get to act with leading ladies who are younger than him. Currently all I see are leading ladies who are old enough to be his aunts and mothers

I am glad that someone out there agrees with me!! AHAHAHA. I think China is obssessed with women, and I mean women, who are 'cute'.. no matter what age they are as long as they are 'Cute' behave like school girls with 12-year-old brain and a ponytail...

Ok it a romantic series with a supposedly a romcom, but the character Li Qin played wasn't a comic but a village idiot or moron, I haven't decided which is more applicable, depending on the one with the lowest IQ score. What could have been a brilliant roncom, Xia Chu just murdered the series,.on the other hand Johnny Huang is brilliant!!!!

I am just halfway through the series I really love the storyline. I can the 25 episodes is a good length, let me see how they build up the ending. ONE huge glaring irks... The lead actress is wayyyyyyyyyy older than the male lead, because she has a mature face even though flawless skin (obviously with smoother) and trying to play a role of a 23 years-old if almost irritatingly laughable. I am sure she is a great actress when playing a woman in her 30s... Are there no younger actresses that can play that role? China has this huge problem of Oedipus syndrome, do all men in China like to marry their mother?? or the whole industry is just to satisfy the spinsters' wet dreams of their lust after younger men? Please correct me if I am wrong. Otherwise, I think the series is actually very entertaining. Men are supposed a Peter Pan at heart and women are always several years more mature.

I quite like the series actually, apart from a few awkward moments and really stupid lines, other than that it's fine... The lead actress could do with a bit of maturing up. I am only in my 3rd Episode I hope it will improve as it moves along.. All the best Tears In Hea ven!

Love and Redemption gave up halfway. Then there's Love and Destiny which was also a disappointment as it was a complete remake of Eternal Love Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms... After all those, Ancient Love Poetry is still better than all of them, I sometimes question the validity or sanity of these viewers. Are they here just to make dissenting statements for personal gain or reason? So far I think it's great! I know there are scenes that are not original, but then they are not the main storyline. Let's wait and see how the story developed further down..

Ancient Love Poetry... I am into the 13th Episode, and the story still hasn't taken off... if they don't do it soon it will run out of fuel and never takes off!!!

A little too late.. I know.... and I wish I hadn't. The scriptwriter should be hang, quartered, and chopped to pieces.... The world's worst script....

Started out so good, simple and funny. But the writer got ambitious and try being too clever and got into wrap he couldn't get out and becomes irritating and senseless plot which made it rather ridiculous in places.

No you are not wrong... that character is irritating like hell.. makes the two characters unbearable to watch.

Interesting storyline, watching Chinese Drama I have learnt not to expect too many things and I really have to lower my standard and ignore the huge number of defects to be entertained not to immerse into them too deep. The Eternal Love is one of the flawed laden storylines and to enjoy it rely on the power of the SKIP FastForward button. Another factor is the way the lead actress slight speech impediment which irritates like hell, she speaks with a lockjaw, which I don't understand why her's wasn't done with a voiceover which others are..... Did i mention that the story si really irritating as well??

Could have been a very entertaining drama series, has it not been for a really badly written script with scenarios that are badly thought through... The Prince seems to spend a lot of time at the Xinsilu mansion, swanning in and out of that place into servants and masters quarters like he owned the place, and so no one seems to stop him, even though the owner of the mansion as clearly stated he doesn't want his investment and he doesn't want to control... Tang Dynasty has very strict rules and regulations by then, and even Royals need a decree and approval from the Emperor, yes even the Princes, unless you are the Emperor. Gosh... i guess there will be a lot of fast-forwarding again.... sigh. I am only into episode 11 and there are 25 more to go, there are so many loopholes and it seems they are introducing a lot of plots, and I can only see the frustrating mess ahead when they try to explain the plots... It's like digging bear traps all over the place and you can't remember where they are when you are being chased by one.... BUT I shall have a good laugh at the failings... Yippee 25 more episodes to speed through...

Let's hope so for those people who have invested so much time and emotion into the series...

Boy oh Boy, I have never seen so much blood-vomiting ever... by the end of the series there must be a river of blood some where in the neighbourhood! Between episode 20 to 56 you can just skip, and you will be fine, otherwise its a complete waste of time......

Agree! Isn't the storyline disappointing? I stopped at episode where she is easily being proposed by the baddie to be the bride of the Crown Prince, and the father looks one like an idiot, well perhaps he is...

There is nothing wrong with the acting. But the storyline and plots really let you down.... It builds you up and then take a left turn and dropped everything and make another turn in a different direction. I am shock to find there are people out there who gave it a straight 10, either these reviewers are paid or they are the type who can't tell a good story from a bad one. I will rate it 3 for everything and 7 for acting. I wonder if the series has lost its audience? I guess I will have to wait to til all the episodes are aired and watch the last episode.

Please.. Don't waste your precious time..... Move on! Unless you are a masochist and can't differentiate between what's trash and what's good go ahead.
