I agree with you, this FL is the worst in all of C Dramaland!!!! I struggled past Episode 1 hoping there might be something ahead, half way through Episode 2 I realised there isn't any ... I dropped it like a hot coal!

The biggest laugh was when she dressed up as a man to enter the palace with a full makeup befitting a drag queen going on a performance!! And I haven't even raised the issue about her issue playing a 16 year old..

I agree with you there, the Chinese Dramaland really suck at naming their titles. How they came up with the title sometimes make me wonder, if they just picked them out of a hat....

The whole thing is a mess, the minute the government agency calls for immediate cancellation they condone the action of a circus! Lets see what happens. Can the fans be tamed and controlled...

I can accept bad titles, and put it down to English is not their forte, but bad grammar in the main title is another... I am sure A League of Nobleman consist of more than one individual, otherwise, league, which usually implies a few not just two, but that's semantics, wouldn't be right. Ok, I accept two, then the title should be A LEAGUE OF NOBLEMEN, not nobleman, I am sure there is more than one male lead. The basic grammatical error in the main title is a BIG Taboo!! Chinese Dramaland, common get your act together!!! Is there a way to contact the production house on this matter. You see Korean Dramas almost always get their title in English right!!! PRIDE, where is the PRIDE????

I love Sleuth of Ming Dynasty.... It's so clever that one and so well executed!! I have watched it twice and will watch it again.. One of the best of 2021.

I was livid with that scenario as well. Crown Prince may be, but never an Emperor. Who is going to run the country while he went out and solves cases over a long period of time? Thank god its only 13 episodes long... otherwise he would be away from his court for even much long period...

Yes there is, but just not very obvious because of the censorship, and this one is over cautious. A better bromance would the The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, that one is more like two bickering spouses.. hehehe

It's a real shame... I have been waiting for a good wuxia or any period drama to watch, and One and Only seemed like more than a good bet. I watched four episodes, it has been pretty good but I have an overwhelming sense that this is going to be a tears jerker if the synopsis is anything to go by. I have to drop this. The real world is depressing enough as it is I don't want to watch something that is just going to worsen my mood. I have masochistic tendencies, but not to that degree... And I don't think Forever and Ever is any better...... Back to Korean dramas, I guess

I am fine with most of the characters, except for the superbly annoying Ba Ye, perhaps another person doing his voice would make the difference, the person who is doing it voice is just too high pitch and annoying. I know the character suppose to be the comic relief...

Its those little things that put me off, and I dropped it. Tried to restart but failed each time...

Fourthaxis, I really like your points and analysis. Especially the part where they just walk on the scene and say their lines but doesn't seem to engage and interact with their audience and even the person they are acting with! They seem detached from one another.
