I haven't seen many Korean drama I didn't like, they are always entertaining and some are quite quite brilliant! Blade Man is not only the worst that I have come across, but it's also unbelievably bad!!!! I couldn't find any redeeming features or parts that I like. In a way, I am glad that it's bad, otherwise, The female lead is soooooo baaadddddd.... Korean Dramas are just too perfect! I don't understand how it got its 7 rating? I think 3 is quite generous.

I first saw him in Addicted! It was so good, and he just stole the show! And I knew I was on to something, not just because it was a gay themed drama but it was because he was a natural and so talented. He has a wide spectrum of talents, he can be cold and serious, funny, and normal, vicious and agressive. Amazing.

I am pacing myself with this one, I said to myself. I had sat through many good ones on a binged and when they were over I felt empty and need a refill because they left me feeling cold turkey. With The Thunder I want to try and avoid that, but I didn't managed to achieve that. I ended up watching 8 episodes in a binge starting from 10pm to 3.30am .. This is one of the best, if not the best police dramas I have ever seen, not just out of China/HongKong but the world, so far. I shan't make any further comments until I have seen it all.. I hope the awesome greatness carries til the end. MY hat off to Huang Jing Yu, a young actor, still wet behind the ears, who stands tall shoulder to shoulder amongst his much more mature and brilliant seasoned fellow actors, he is amazing. Can't wait to start watching Episode 9 and on.......

The minute they introduced the girls into the series, it spoilt the rhythm and the flow and becomes unnatural. This series should not have a romance in it.. I like romantic dramas as well, don't get me wrong, there are places for them, but just NOT this one. Sorry. One small gripe here.

If you ignore the poorly written plots on the business sides of the drama and focus on the romance between the main leads is quite enjoyable. I think those days of non-analytical dramas for uneducated housewives are over, and the writer needs to be more mature with the plots, if she wants to delve into complicated stuff she should be able to explain and justify her plots leaving no holes, but instead she quickly glossed over as if they are not important. This is a prime example of trying too hard to appear to be clever but instead making herself looks really stupid. Unfortunately, these dramas are watched across the world by a wide spectrum of viewers, you can fool some but you can't fool all of them! What a waste of talents like Johnny Huang and Dilraba and time. After watching The Thunder, this is a complete let-down of what could have been a really good drama. The ending left you unsatisfied and unaffected and blah, and clueless to what we have just watched.

I agree with you.. I just rewatched in English this time, and realised there is actually no romance and understanding.... If I were Song Lin, and no matter how much i love Zhao Feng, I would have wased my hands long time ago, for a strategic and business genius, he would have defended his company long time ago... This drama series has no logic in romance and business.. just full of shit!

FL character is appallingly irritating! I blame it on the director and the writer for her delivery! CUTE is ok when you are 16 and below.., retard when you are an adult. I saw her in Joy of life and The Wolf, which both were fine, or maybe in comparison...?

If you are a lawyer or a crime detective, then you are advised to stay away from the drama, but if you want to have a good laugh at the ambitious plots with perforations of a fishnet! And unnecessary drama scenes just so to make it dramatic with no values.. Quite laughable really. Trying to be too clever but unended up being really frustratingly stupid.

No time for them unfortunately, he is busy playing the Toyboy roles and Cougar and the Kid roles. ... I do wish they will cast him in those period Wuxia/XianXia dramas.

You are so totally right.... He took all his roles on like its a comfortable pair of well break-in shoes... And he is a joy to watch even when the female lead was a let-down, I wanted Victoria Song to die in the first episode and shoot Li Qin in the head.

Johnny Huang is excellent in all his dramas, I would recommend Something Just like This and Love Designer, the other is My Dear Guardian (A CCCP propaganda series to celebrate CCP 100th Anniversary) but unfortunately spoilt but the irritating lead lady character. Johnny is ace in it. Love his comic delivery and timing.

I absolutely agreed. She was too twee and weak.... I think that's because she is actually playing a girl who is 10 years younger than her age and she couldn't pull it off. She was a last minute replacement for the actual actress who abandoned the project (Smart move).
