If we were talking about Kinn from the book, I would agree. I don’t think Kinn from the series would do that. He said to Tay : I don’t want to be who I used to be. And in the scene at Porsches’s parents grave he made a vow that no matter what he’d stand by Porsche’s side. There have been so many times that Kinn has demonstrated his willingness to sacrifice his body, happiness and pride for Porsche starting way back to that day he told Pete to take Porsche out of the house where the underling was being beaten. If anything, his determination has grown. It’s not about how much he loves Porsche. It’s Kinn making a choice about what kind of man he wants to be.
I feel it is the same for Vegas. He chooses to be some one better in the face of his love for Pete.
