Totally unrelated to BiuBut this whole situation just made me think a lot about how unfair and cruel life is as…
I have so many feelings on this subject. And a million thoughts. I’ve typed and deleted 3 different responses. Part of me wants to immolate anyone that is a party to this violent reality girls live with. But especially the water bearers that condone and rationalize it. I am a woman living in the US so take that for what it’s worth. I’m especially bitter right now.
Did you know that 1 in 3 women will experience being beaten or sexual violence of some kind in their life? In fact 1 in 4 females and 1 in 7 males will be the victim of some form of sexual violence by the age of 18.
94% of survivors of sexual violence will experience PTSD.
This is real life folks. Damaged lives to be sure. The only opportunity here is for empathetic humans to care for each other, learn to listen more fully and be genuine and thoughtful in how we address one another.
As for those struggling with how to feel about Build…he is an entertainer . Nothing more. Some entertainers do happen to inspire us to be better. But many do not. Don’t be too disappointed. Just go and be a better, more compassionate person yourself.
