Apparently someone here said the VP scenes are mild in the show as in the novel it was way worst?
There is less torture and beatings in the book and more graphic rape. But series went deep on the torture. I think the resulting dynamic between the two will be on point.
So what did y’all learn about yourselves in this episode? I have a feeling a lot of us got a glimpse of our bottom line.
This episode was really good, and really well done. Vegas is a broken soul. The scene where Pete helps give him insight into Kan’s true motivation is deep. You can see it’s a moment of revelation for Vegas.
Thank heavens the show gave us moments of comedy and sweetness between the heavy stuff. In fact…I think it was smartly done. Pete is beloved by all of us and Vegas really abuses him. I’m kind of surprised the show went as far as it did. I’m pleased by that because this is def a story worth telling but man, I can just imagine how people are going to lose their shit over this.
As for me, my bottom line (and I knew this going into the episode but it was viscerally reaffirmed) I don’t mind torture or abuse but I hate degradation. Vegas shoving Pete’s face into the food bowl made me fucking pissed.
