Reading this comment section today has been a lot like a day in the life of an American.
Im thinking about what drew so many of us here in the first place. Willing to bet a majority of us read the book first, or early in the series. The source content is full of violence, murder, assault, sexual assault, rape lies, drug dealing, etc. the list goes on. If you know nothing about the original work, if it did not in any way draw you to week nine, and you somehow remained oblivious to the fact that this series was going to flirt with controversial topics if not actually portray social taboos…well I suppose you are entitled to the high road. For the rest of us…can we stop fighting and just enjoy the story? It’s the internet but let’s not allow the echo chamber effect to convince us that we are the only one with an opinion or a voice.

Hey Hyun you and I generally agree on a lot of things and I actually think I know what you are getting at with this comment I just think it was delivered in a regrettable way. People can ship who they want no matter the age. Fantasizing and imagining is harmless. Honestly this is an extension of the interpretation of an actors craft. I am a lucid dreamer, in all seriousness. I have had disturbing dreams, and one’s that are “morally” wrong. That doesn’t make me a bad person or any of the labels we’d place on a person who did this things in real life. Point is you can’t control your dreams. Some people do get carried away and I have heard about stalking claims and people that infringe on the actors privacy. The actors don’t deserve that. But having fans fantasize about you being intimate with your casted costar? I mean ….he is a professional actor. I don’t agree that this is exploitation. So anyway, you didn’t call anyone specifically out but you should understand and respect the gravity of the words and phrases you are using. These are controversial topics and people have passionate feelings and opinions that are no less valid then yours. Let’s not try to alienate one another with accusation and telling people what’s wrong and what’s right.
