The story of Pete and Vegas is about forgiveness and redemption. I donāt think it brushed off rape. Pete forgave Vegas. Vegas redeemed himself. Thatās the way the story went. The reader or watcher can enjoy their story arc and still understand what Vegas did was wrong and fucked up. I dont think this story romanticized or glamorized rape. Anyways, this scene and their relationship is much deeper then a storybook romance with one dimensional characters and clear right/wrong tropes. Itās about having the courage to be vulnerable with someone. Their entire relationship is about finding whatās missing in their lives in one another, trust and how strong two people can become when they open up. I also feel that people are bitching just to bash. Itās a gray story with gray characters which is what I like about it. That and itās sexy as hell and hilarious.
Iām so annoyed with those who bitch about being uncomfortable with the kiss scene because it was not consensual. At this point itās quiet clear that Kinn & Porsche are vibing tho it def is stronger on Kinnās side. Porsche is so damn charming and alluring when he is drunk and he was so affectionate.
