No, I don't think so. It was said he was poisoned with heavenly grief yes, but he was nursed back to health by his master and the only known cure is GDM. It was also said that his master defied her family rules to make GDM for him. It was never implicitly said he took it but how else would he have survived till now? Unless heavenly grief can never be fully cured and he has to keep taking GDM but then he would need to know how to make it himself which I find at this point too good to be true because it would solve our problems too easily. As for that scar I assumed it was the indelible criminal brand from his time in the sunken abyss.
I need 25th episode now, damn. How will I focus without it ? ㅜ-ㅜ And one ep is not enough. I need to be strong and wait until Tuesday but it seems impossible...
You want another steamy drama you should watch when Destiny brings the demon that has a lot of really great intimate…
I've been in a huge slump for months now, maybe half a year, and love in the clouds brought me back, so I have quite a bit to catch up on. My recs are mostly coming from tumblr gifsets. I saw some of when destiny brings the demon when it was airing but I don't remember any kisses. Everyone just wanted to see male lead suffer, go mad and be covered with more blood, lol, so that's what the gifsets were about. Anyways, now I will definitely watch it!
Situ Ling kinda scared me this episode when he killed another of his brothers. He seemed a bit evil. What was that magic he used? It felt evil, like he was sucking his brother's life out or something. Also, only one kill and he's already gotten used to it so it doesn't phases him. When it's his own brother. An evil motherfucker but his brother, and a person. Murder is supposed to be more emotionally difficult.
Another thing about that scene is I don't understand how he managed to kill him when his brothers are supposed to be mighty warriors. With the first one it made sense. Here it was all weird. Is Situ Ling hiding something? Some kind of power? But that doesn't make sense based on his conversations with Fu Yao. Also - how was he slashed across his throat but didn't bleed? There should have been some blood. His collar should have been soaked with blood. But there wasn't a single drop. So weird.
So the weird way he killed his brother, the way he wasn't phased at all, the fact that he's a second lead and has no chance with FL, the fact he always craved power and is from Zhu Shui State... I think there's a good chance he will turn evil in the latter episodes.
I rarely get second lead syndrome, but this time I do. The love Situ Xian Jun has for Ming Xian is just 😭.…
He loves her to the point of being delusional and kind of creepy. But I don't buy why he loves her so damn much. It doesn't make sense to me. I understand him getting attached to her because of what she did but not to this level? Dude loved her before he got to actually know her personality. Simply based off of the fact she gave him hope and strength to live. Like, ik, that's a lot but at the same time she was just a kind stranger to him so how could he love her so? Did he fall for her when she came to see him because she looked so pretty in those shots? Is that it? That and gratitude? I'm rambling but it just feels forced to me. Like it was quickly made up for drama.
Once in a while we get a steamier drama like this and it's glorious. (it's funny calling this steamy since it only fits in asian drama land, lol) But it's perfect. I love it. I love whenever they're not afraid to kiss. And kiss properly at that!
Am I the only one bother by the synopsis saying he's a health-crazed man? He's a mf-ing elite body builder, there's nothing healthy about that. And the way he constantly flexes his muscles instead of his ability? Yeah, he's all about that perfect figure not health.
Crash landing on you was 5 years ago? Not like... 2 years ago, but 5? I thought it was a typo but it's true?? I am so confused right now, I feel like I jumped through time.
It depend. Sometime it's their agent (& their company) who buy their clothes. Sometime it's the production. And…
That's sooo intresting. Do you happen to know how the costume design process looks in the cases when actors use their own clothes? After all they still need to fit the vibes, certain aesthetic, other actors' clothes, charcters' personality etc.
What do you mean as of ep 28 the main leads are in a relationship and have lots of screen times together. The…
It took 14 episodes for fl to break up with ex. Then another 12 for them to get together and the scenes where the romance was developing were few and far between. Them getting into a relationship is treated as a thing to cross of a list, like an annoying chore to complete and forget about. The next episode we were back to square one, focusing on anything but their romance. So what if they have a lot of screen time together if that screen time is not about romance? It's about their work or her family. Side couple has so many more intimate moments - skinship, being vulnerable with each other, having fun together. You basically get one scene every episode, if not a couple but that's not the case for the main couple. Ep 1-14 main focus was fl relationship with ex and how it was going downhill until she finally broke it off, then ep 13-28 it's all about work and her mom never learning from her actions and everyone coddling her because she means good. In all honesty, no matter how you look at it, the romance IS a subplot. This drama is about CMH learning how to be more assertive with her mother, her mother failing to learn from her actions but slowly realizing the damage she's doing and about business. That's it. Romance is an afterthought. That being said, I'm really impressed with Yang Zi's acting in this one. This kind of role really suites her. She's so expressive yet natural.
Let me tell you, it's not a romance drama, lol. It's a life drama with a small romance subplot. There's literally more romance of the side couple than main as of ep 28.
