Episode 31 right here is the reason I watch Xianxia drama. The angst, the pain and the crying. This drama really hit you in all the right places. Little orchid death scene was really done right. Her conviction that even if she dies it can be with that sword 🗡️, just wow! Dongfang Qingcang really protraited his pain of losing little orchid magnificently. I have to give credit to Yu Shu Shin and Dylan Wang here. They were perfect for their role. The way Dongfang Qingcang cried hysterically in the sand after she died really made remember some personal sad memories. I just want to see happy ending quickly now.
I was just rewatching episode 9,10 &13. Those are so far my favorite episodes. In episode 9 when Dongfang Qingcang fought with the entire heaven realm it was so cool. Like everyone was his plaything. The way he beat Chang Heng black and blue it was so enjoyable. In other xianxia dramas it would be the male lead who get beaten. Also when he indicated Shang Que to scare Little orchid it was so cheeky of him. In episode 10 when he returned to the moon tribe and everyone was bowing to him, even little orchid it was too magnificent. In episode 13 when he beat XueFeng so easily just with a few flick of hand movements and a little bending of his neck it was one of my all time favorite scenes of the drama.
I have watched till episode 25 , I love it. It's different than the drama I usually watch. Originally only started to watch this because of Xu Now I really like the female lead too. She is interesting, strong but innocent. Someone kill that idiot FengLing, first she was pretending to be kind but now I can't even stand her. She has no talents but always act high and mighty. I knew from the beginning she could never be more than a clingy 2fl. God! Characters like her are the one I hate most in dramas.
Episode 17,18 are total game changers. We are finally in the serious part of the drama . Oh I can't explain how much I loved those two episodes. I honestly cried in Dong fang Qing Cang and his father's scenes. So far definitely my favorite. Also the chemistry is so on point. You can see it with naked eyes.
