Granted, Shu Yi has great insights and is very smart, but he admits to her that what she said was compelling and makes him brave about facing his own Board.Now, if we can only see him trust her more openly with his heart.

Not only is LBY totally in lover with CSS, but he is protective of her and will defend her honor even if it breaks with etiquette. In this way, I think she will feel his regard and love for her, if she doesn't already know. But, the cattiness of these court ladies - I can totally do without. "Mean Girls" in historical outfits.I still haven't figured out Yuan Shen. I think he also admires CSS, but has not actually indicated that he likes her. I think he and Yang Yang would make a better couple.

This was the sweetest episode by far. Both of them are free to express their feelings and they're together out side of the house. The seaside jaunt was so so cute. And that dance!!

Qian Fei reads JiaXu so well. That momentary silence was enough of a clue, and I was really glad that JiaXu can finally acknowledge his own feelings toward Sang Zhi are changing. His protectiveness towards her has always existed but he was more straightforward about it, always explaining to her why. With the last scene, he was panicked about reaching her timely before Jiang Ying could, but he didn't explain his request for her not to randomly show up at his work or home. Had he mentioned Jiang Ying's presence, it would have made sense to her. His own convoluted feelings and increased over-protectiveness are not doing him any good.

I still don't know exactly what happened to the Masters and students of Li Academy, but Ye Li was alone for many years. Her mind couldn't deal with being alone and she made believe everyone was still around, teaching her medicine, martial arts and more. She foraged for food, relied on rain for water and just survived, fueled with her plans for revenge. Her mind is so fractured. When confronted with the truth that there's no one but her left, she's unable to accept it. Prince Ding has promised yet again never to leave her alone. This time, I hope he is sincere and can keep his word.

I couldn't believe he just stopped listening to her once she said yes her mother had taken the edict from his brother. No explanation would have convinced him because the result was catastrophic. Then, he convince himself that she stayed with him out of pity, even after all her stories about being fascinated by him after their first meeting. She had already opened her heart to him way before making a promise to his brother to help him. And all his promises that no matter what, he would always be with her, those went up in smoke. All broken and forgotten.

The beginning gave me a Pride and Prejudice vibe, Chinese style. Now, we're on the co-habitation trope. I can already see Shou Hua (first sister) is the one who fancies Du Yang Xi just based on his poetry. Now that she has saved him, I think there's a more of a connection.

It was his path to become the new Brocade Master and the next patriarch of the Zhao Family. "Giving up on you. This is my choice." He pretty much disappeared from her life until he kidnapped her, intending to marry her as a concubine. How in the world did he think she could ever trust him?

He presents a mild side to his brother but he is really his father's son with a wild ambition. I don't believe he would have poisoned his and Song Mo's mother on purpose because he seemed very attached to her; his grief at her loss seemed genuine. But if he has grown up a psychopath, we just can't judge him correctly; he would be so good at hiding his evil side.
